Seems counter intuitive but try the Grit & EggVegetarian Sandwich (yet add bacon) - it's a filling sammich layered with a grits patty, green chiles, cheese, greens and comes with a side of choice.
The good: Cheerwine! Big Red! tap root beer, great service,Texas hot link. The average: Brisket, potato salad. The bad: super dry ribs, mushy pulled pork, flavorless cole slaw, weak rolls.
San Diego brewery Saint Archer is finally getting distributed in these parts, and while it's available at beer-centric retailers, this is the only restaurant carrying it. Stop by for happy hour. Read more
Meat tastes great - I had brisket and chicken. Combo platter meat portions could have been bigger, but I was plenty hungry to start with. Love the cole slaw. Potato salad is creamy and delicious.
One of the best burgers in the city. Probably THE best if a thiner flavorful patty coupled with gourmet sesame seedbread, and creative toppings is your burger preference.
Ahhhh I love the veggie and egg burger here. It’s one of their best. I have tried so many veggie burgers but this is unbeatable.. a must try you guys...
Wonderfull BBQ joint right in San Francisco. Almost feels if you are in Texas. Great to sit outdoor with good weather. The deep-fried mac-and-cheese cake may sound weird, but it's surprisingly tasty.
Get the amazing deep-fried mac-and-cheese cake known as the Frankaroni ($5), which is studded with bits of 4505's own bacon-studded hot dog. And you might want to add some chimichurrifries to that. Read more
One if the best in SF. Alas, that says more about the paucity of good BBQ in SF than it does about the craft here. Adequate if you don't have time to smoke your own.
Get your brisket, ribs, & burger on at Ryan Farr's takeover of Divis' former Da' Pitt, where you'll be greeted with fried mac and cheese, draft brews, and other delights. Read more
Jeeze Louise this place is incredible! The rib plate is a must. The pork shoulder is to die for. Brisket is solid. Go for the French fries and beans as sides. Skip the potato salad.

Excellent vegetarian sandwich - egg, cheesy grits, green chili, and arugula made for plenty of flavor. And don't miss the baked beans! We also enjoyed the cheeseburger, though it was rather...petite.
Big orders to go, if you're having the dudes over. Wings + white sauce a hit. Expect to wait in line. Breakfast sandwiches on the weekends are pretty clutch, too.
Burger or BBQ?? So hard to choose. An existential decision every time I come here. Get both! The brisket and ribs are both quite good. The pit chicken may steal the show.
Pisole and brisket were killer. Portions could be a little bigger, and the sauce wasn’t anything special, but the frankenmac, pickles, and housemaid lemonade were fantastic
The burger is so simple but JUST SO TASTY!!! I love it more every time I eat it 😋. Must be eaten immediately upon ordering, or all the juiciness seeps out and makes the bun fall apart 😕
It's all good. The brisket is sweet-n-thick and the pork is mustard-n-vinegar, in case that helps you decide. (The fried chicken is boneless, delicious, and frequently sold out.)
Pulled chicken and pork shoulder were really good! Fried mac n cheese too. I didn't care for the coleslaw or the spicy sausage. Get there early if you want the brisket.
If you plan on getting The Presidential (all the meats, all the sides and all the fixins), there's actually only enough meat for 4 even though they say it's for 6.
Ugh. Just so good. Could eat like 3 burgers here in one sitting. Have always wanted to just spend a couple hours here during the day playing cards and drinking beers.
They serve some swell southern sauces. A South Carolina style vinegar and mustardBBQ sauce, a Kansas City style thick and sweet BBQ sauce, and ketchup.
Does not live up to the hype. The sauces aren't anything special. A group of us got a bit of everything & all agreed only the mac n cheese is worth the wait.
