Sushi Restaurant · Downtown San Francisco-Union Square · 166 tips and reviews
Dens: The omakase here is insane. Maybe best sushi I've had in the USA. Be sure to ask to try all the diff types of uni & eat something that's been blowtorched. (pic = wagyu, btw)
2832 Mission St (Btw 24th & 25th), San Francisco, CA
Sausage Store · Mission District · 180 tips and reviews
Dens: I joked about ordering the "sausage sampler" (aka all 15 diff sausages) and my buddy said he did that once (with a group of friends!) and it was amazing. (ps. cold sausages for take-away are 50% off)
Burrito Restaurant · Mission District · 443 tips and reviews
Dens: Bring a friend and do a spiltty-split with a crispy burrito & some crispy tacos. MAKE SURE YOU ASK FOR CRISPY! So good. ps. if you grab a seat outside near windows you can watch them cut up the pork!
826 Folsom St (btwn 4th St & 5th St), San Francisco, CA
Pizzeria · SoMa · 434 tips and reviews
Dens: I dunno how often they change up the "seasonal pizza" on the menu, but as of January 2014 the "chili-base, broccoli-sauce, four-cheese pizza" is one of the most delicious things I've eaten in forever.
1420 Market St (btwn 10th and 11th St), San Francisco, CA
New American Restaurant · Civic Center · 114 tips and reviews
Dens: Packed w/ all the cool-kid tech folks (they're all investors!) and everything I tried on the menu is awesome. Standouts: the 1780 Old Fashioned, deviled eggs, pork trotter (!!), rocky road sundae
2100 Van Ness Ave (at Pacific Ave.), San Francisco, CA
Steakhouse · Polk Gulch · 75 tips and reviews
Dens: Classy, old school spot for a steak. Solid bernaise sauce. The house cocktail (shit I can't remember the name!) is a wee petite but go for it anyway. ProTip: Go splitty-split on 2 steaks w a buddy
Dens: Stand in front of the Big Buck Hunter machine and look up... there's a BRONZED BIG BUCK RIFLE!!! It's some kind of trophy and getting my name on it is my destiny.
Dens: A friend described this place as "where the Twitter kids go to spend their IPO money"... tho cheap compared to NYC cocktails IMHO. The "Informant" was best drink I tried.
