- M WJanuary 15, 2015Excellent espresso served by people who really care about coffee. Accompanied by a good food selection like salt beef bagels. Cool location too in one of the small alleyways of the City.
- Definetly among the top 3 espressos that I ever had. Wonderful flavour and body balance from their own roasting. The minimalist design and the quite atmosphere are also spot on. Must try. 9.5/10
- Chris PhillipsNovember 2, 2015The best espresso in London? Quite possibly. Very friendly staff, keen to share their passion for great coffee. Lots of different brew options, and choice of beans. Superb.
- Arguably the best coffee in London (maybe 2nd to Taylor St). The definition of coffee snobbery, so don't ask for soy or sugar.
- AnastasiaMay 31, 2015Nice little coffeeshop not far from St.Paul's Cathedral. With great variety of beans and brewing methods it is a fantastic place for any coffee geek.
- Stellar single origin coffee (V60) and espresso. Had a fantastic cup from Ethiopia. Piles of sweet and savory bites, as well. Best espresso in this part of London.
- Erwin HusburtFebruary 20, 2016It is very cosy small coffe shop with delicious single malt coffee and polite staff. We've been there for quick coffee half an hour before they close and we get 2for1 cake price.
- Jon ChooMay 13, 2014Not far off from St Paul's, Alchemy features knowledgeable staffs who takes their time to explain the rotating beans on offer. The ordering system is odd, and is based on size rather than type.
- Krishna SrinivasanJuly 3, 2013Friendly people who are ready to talk about the variety of coffee making techniques on offer (aeropress, v60, etc). A good selection of filter coffee on offer along with beans + grinding.
- Martin HurtaOctober 6, 2016Best espresso for me {opus - acidity of mandarin , cocoa, almond}. Very good cold brew. You must try .
- Jessica YoungNovember 30, 2014Unusual concept. You can't get your regular lattes/flat whites etc here - you choose your coffee blend, size, and whether you want milk or not, and they serve it at the 'optimal' temperature
- Andrea TMarch 20, 2015The best espresso I have ever tasted, what a well-balanced flavour! Also one of the best latte arts I have ever seen on my cappuccino. Highly recommended!
- Buri LovelaceJune 23, 2014Avocado toast was great - they got my order wrong (which is surprising given there are only a choice of 3 sizes), but really, who cares when the coffee is good and the milk well stretched!
- Cheen The CuriousJune 7, 2016It gets crowded in the small space in the morning, as expected of all good coffee joints. Limited counter-style seating for abt 10 people
- Paul MederosJuly 2, 2017Brilliant coffee, exquisitely charming little spot. Try the cold brew coffees, over ice.
- Michael B.January 24, 2020Very nice. Great cakes that differ from others. Really good high q. coffee. Rather cheap.
- Phil ClampSeptember 4, 2014Great coffee for the enthusiast. I had the batch made filter which was deliciously fruity. The lemon and blueberry cake was to die for.
- Meli MaxineAugust 1, 2017Knowledgeable and friendly staff who know what they're talking about. Cool/trendy vibe and killer banana bread. A coffee lovers dream.
- Africa GomezJanuary 2, 2018The coffe it's excellent, awesome flavor. Cakes are also great, fry the carrot one.
- Carter Lane now has another new coffee shop. Well worth checking out. Good coffee, friendly staff and a selection of gadgets and coffee making methods for geeks like me.
- Mathew WilsonJanuary 28, 2016Reminds me of Monmouth Coffee. Good and rich flavours rather than the new trend for floral tea like coffees. Nice to see / sip.
- Pascal De MulSeptember 25, 2015Very nice coffee in a relaxed hidden place. Only some barstools along the window, but not too busy. Good for a quick standing meeting.
- Lewy JonesAugust 7, 2014Grab a cold brew coffee for a delicious chilled pick-me-up. It's pre-bottled on the counter (but they'll want the bottle back).
- Bosie MoncrieffJuly 9, 2018Very nice espresso, takes Apple Pay, has bathroom and six different cakes. Tiny, tiny location.
- Cheen The CuriousJune 7, 2016They sell their coffee by volume, not your choice of bean or how strong/diluted/milky u prefer your coffee to be 😉
- Lee HartJuly 16, 2018some say the best espresso in London! my choice is simple cappuccino and almond croissant, thank you!

- Kevin BrenkmanApril 3, 2019Good coffee. Standard double shot, £2,40 for an espresso. They gave us a free cookie with our coffee. 😊
- Luke AveryMarch 3, 2017Absolutely worth cueing for. They are happy to give you a free sample if you're buying beans.
