Chill bar with a semi-grunge vibe offering great prices on an awesome whiskey selection and mason jars of beer! BBQ menu may be short, but it's all quality, delicious, and WORTH IT!
I really miss the Republic Kolache residency here, and I wish dogs were allowed on the patio. But the swachos are still tasty.
Serious EatsMay 15, 2014It's charming, industrial, and a great place to enjoy an expansive selection of craft beers, from PBR to Tokyo Black, and a brief, but satisfying menu of sandwiches, halfsmokes, and pork nachos.
I love their BBQ chicken and pulled pork nachos. Actually, all the food I've tried has been very good! It's seat-yourself though so it can be hectic and the bathroom line can be ridiculously long.

Perfect for a good casual drink with a friend or two. Never too crazy.
Great place to go for a quick bite and beers before a 930 club show. BBQ pork ... get in my belly!
They have a great rye selection, including many from high west that are exceptionally priced.
SPIRITS IN BLACK! Top notch drinks during SIB, possibly some of the best I've had in DC. Great soundtrack too.
Good beer selection. Awesome environment. Food is great on paper, merely fine in practice.
The food does go fast but it is very fresh. Try the brisket sandwich with an Old Fashioned just a good combination
Pork sandwich is where it's at. Comes with amazing slaw.- Things often heard while meeting new friends: "I like this place." Also, pickle backs.
If your phone is dying, there are electrical outlets under many of the tables inside!

Great PBR - though I think there is only one waitress for the entire bar.
If you're out at a table, be prepared to share it! No one likes it when 2 people take a 6-person table for themselves on a busy night.
