- Ami H.April 14, 2017Around the Piers E and F area, behind Café Coco, under the shade of the stairs are some blessed lounge chairs for a bit of free kip. Earplugs and eye mask donned and you're good to go.Upvoted 6 days ago

- Schiphol is only 15km from Amsterdam. Take any train to Amsterdam CS and you'll be in te city center in about 10 minutes. Bus 397 will take you straight to Leidseplein, but it'll take longer.Upvoted 5 days ago
- MuratApril 14, 2018Half an hour drive away from city center. Public transportation is available. Very organized and structured, passenger friendly. Still lines could be long in the security. Busy at the weekends.Upvoted 2 weeks ago
- Ideal transfer airport. One of the most convenient big hubs in Europe! The shops are really good and the food is great for passengers (domestic and international flights).Upvoted Sep 15
- Get around Schipol Plaza to shop and eat, you can find variety of food and also collectibles things, buy chocolate from Leonidas, there is store selling airplane miniatures as well.
- Dave McNovember 4, 2017This is a really great airport to kill time in, it’s really more like a mall with some hidden away airline gates than a typical airport.Upvoted Oct 17
- When ur truly hungover - get a chicken broth at the Mediterranean panini place - its not a gourmet thing but it will give u everything u need (well a lot) and save u!!
- One of the best airports in Europe, easy to navigate, fast lines and great choice of coffees/food zones. Free wi-Fi and polite customs ❤️
- A HazetSeptember 24, 2016Traditionally is European airhub, home base of KLM & skyteam.Compact, integrated & efficient airport. Transit in this airport will be fun, easy reach the City by train or just enjoy the airport itself
- One of the best airports in the world! It's spacious, modern and offers high quality service allround. No annoying lines but friendly and well trained staff. Absolutly love this place! ✈️
- Trish GotladeraMay 10, 2022Airport has very poor signs of gates. Very large queues from bag drop, check in and immigration. Understaffed as well. With all the massive queues, only one staff to sort. Mismanaged airport indeed.
- One of the best. Has everything you needs: supermarkets, restaurants, Starbucks, fast foods, train station, all sorts of stores...
- On the exit to "I am Amsterdam" logo you should visit "Happy Seafood" cafe and buy sandwich with haring and cucumbers. It tastes really great!
- Maha Al-SayeghAugust 12, 2017I find the luggage lockers in the airport very useful you can store your bags up to 7 days and enjoy the rest of the day/night in Amsterdam if you like :)
- Noel ClarkeNovember 22, 2014Nice Airport with everything you need. You'll be happy to hang out if early for flight. Very clean and doesn't seem too busy.
- Nice airport with alot of shopping areas. Clean and staff are very helpful. I prefer to walk around the shops rather than setting in the lounges
- Reyhan SafarnegaarAugust 26, 2017Nice information desks, great variety of food and a a lot if cheese shops! Try the creamy cheese they offer. Also take the extra fresh bags for keeping them cold and fresh.
- Panagiotis DesyprisJune 25, 2022Try to avoid flying from Schiphol during Summer 22. Very few people working for security and ground personnel. If you can’t avoid flying from Amsterdam arrive at the airport 3-4 hrs before your flight
- 💰Nigel O'Sullivan💰May 3, 2013Airside there's a smoking section at the Irish bar and on the other side near holland casino
- E.Nur ŞenMay 1, 2022It s very crowded and not operated well. We arrived to the airport at 11:50. We barely caugth our flight at 14:40. Most of the people missed their flights.Upvoted Oct 8
- Kathleen VargasApril 28, 2016Awesome thing about this airport is the free wifi they offer!! There's so much walking you have to do in this airport that I literally feel like I burn 500 cal.
- Really big, modern and clean airport. Allow yourself some extra time to wonder around, have a delicious meal or waffles before the flight to enjoy it properly. Before departures are even supermarkets.
- Such a big airport! Prepare to walk a long way to get to your next gate for a layover. Crowded and a little hard to find which way to go. Passport security takes 10-15 min to go through.Upvoted Oct 8
- An airport to avoid these days. You need to follow a cue for some 3 hours before you make it to customs, due to lack of staff. Brilliant management…
- Schiphol is classy, chic and has plenty of fun, unique spaces to spend time while you await your flight. Go smell tulips, shop around and visit a branch of the Rijksmuseum for some great Dutch art.
- While getting here is fast by train. The airport itself requires a lot of walking to get to your gate
- Love this airport! Can go to HEMA or Albert Hein and buy anything you forgot to buy for the same price you would anywhere. Easy to find around. One downside there is a long wait at the luggage belt
- As mostly everywhere in The Netherlands the people are friendly and attentive here. You have a big shopping area before and after security. Download the app and you are updated about everything.
- Still the best airport I've been to. Wifi everywhere, plenty of shops and restaurants. Even a museum and casino! also plenty of places to take nap and eat if you have an overnight transfer.
- Massive airport but really well organised. KLM Lounges are great too. Careful with short connections if moving between Shengen and not as queues can be long at busy times.
- Huge lines. So allow yourself extra extra time. While it moves fast. But allow at least 2-3 hrs to be ok and have sometime to grab coffee or breakfast if it is an early flight
- Love this airport. Plenty of seating area with nice view on the aircrafts. There is a mediation area near the main Starbucks.
- Catherine Smal'February 9, 2020Very interesting airport with museums, playground for children, relaxing library 📚 with a piano 🎹, where you can share your talent
- Veronika MikusiakovaJuly 8, 2019Very nice, clean and organized airport with a lot of shops. It is well connected with a city centre. There is bus station outside (bus 397 goes to the city centre) and train station as well.
- Anna BlankoDecember 6, 2020Take the time before departure to discover this remarkable airport !))) 👍😉
- Very quick Tax-Free Servies! Get your Stamped Invoices out of the Envelopes! Show your items, don’t check-in your bags! There are 3 companies here (Global & other) to claim your VAT. You can get cash.
- Used to be a good and reliable airport. Now it is chaos, stress and long waiting times. Too many shops and too much distance to cross.
- Ciaran QuinnMarch 10, 2013Short passport line from Terminal C to D. If your EU passport has a chip like on mine (photo...symbol like overhead view of a guy w hat with arms stretched out) use the automatic gates. Quick. Easy!
- Alise KJanuary 5, 2015Huge! Time flies by very fast. Be sure to go there well in advance to get a chance to see everything. There are plenty of store in terminals as well. Don't miss the Iamsterdam sign just outside.
- It’s not a tip but a plea to the leadership of Schiphol to take action on what is the dirtiest airport in Europe. And please have something else than just sandwiches everywhere, but actual dinner too
- Radek ZajícSeptember 9, 2022One of the worst airport experiences ever. 70 minutes waiting time in a queue before the security check. 20:15 and most of the shops with food are closed.
- Pretty nice airport that gets the basics right: good signage, free Wifi, spacious enough. Quite a walk though depending on the gate you need to go to. Use the Privium P2 bridge if you have status!
- Enormous airport with everything from food to clothes to accessories, food, bars coffee just name it , it has it allUpvoted Sep 6
- Possibly my favorite airport in the world - so many options to pass time, including the Yotel to sleep in. Take in the Rijksmuseum Schiphol if you can - a sampling of the Dutch masters in the airport!
- Ian WagnerJune 3, 2017Nice big airport. Cool green space where you can walk outside. Make sure you have plenty of time though because it can be quite the talk to get around.
- Hashim A.May 7, 2019One of the most crowded airports in the world yet it’s very vast and well organized.
- Super easy public transport system to and from the airport. Albert Heijn right outside arrivals is a great place to grab some refreshments. Uber pickup has been moved to in front of the Sheraton
- Schiphol has improved over the last year. No one tried to run me down in those airport buggies, and there’s more choice of food and drink. The big Starbucks is nice, and lots of charging points.
