Smoke, herbs, agave, pepper mezcal is a broad category historically encompassing all agave spirits and is now regulated in a similar fashion as tequila. The key points of differ ention for mezcal are the species of agave (mostly espadin), the region of mexico where is is produced (mainly oaxaca) and the method of production (traditionally, the agave pinas are cooked by burying them in pits lined with volcanic rocks and charcoal giving mezcal its characteristic smokeyflavor). We are proud to carry such a varied selection of this most artisanal of spirits. All of the mezcals listed below are produced in the traditional manner, some from tiny producers in oaxaca and some made from wild species of agave that have been harvested by hand try one. We think you will be surprised by what you discover.

This lovely spirit from the Mexican State of Chihuahua is made from the dasilyrion plant, a cousin of agave

Tequila is a spirit distilled from the fermented sugars of the weber blue agave plant, a desert succulent. All of our carefully selected tequilas are made from 100% blue agave and are grouped according to the two regions in which they are produced -the highlands and the valley of the Mexican state of Jalisco. Within each region, we present general flavor profiles characteristic of each expression.
