A lovely airport in the middle of nowhere. It feels like you are landing on the moon!
If they have a sign up saying that the walkway to the falls is closed, consider ignoring it and going anyway. We were thankful we did - you have to walk up to get the best photos.
If you plan on hiking to the top, then you might want to upgrade your footwear and trim down some layers before leaving your car. It gets pretty steep.
Skip the climb to the top and take your pictures from below near the falls. Yes you might get wet because it's a waterfall.
If you don't have a 4WD car, leave it by the main road and be prepared for a 45 minute hike on an otherworldly moonscape. You can even walk down the beach if you have the time after reaching the plane
This is one of those beautiful and haunting places that will stay with you for the rest of your life. You might even be lucky enough to see puffins!!!

The canyon was created by progressive erosion by flowing water from glaciers through the rocks and palagonite over millennia.
Go around sunset to catch the beautiful reflection off the lagoon. Also a popular spot to watch the northern lights (conditions permitting)
