Avoid the cramped Happy Hour spots and head here instead, where you can sip cocktails on a full-floor rooftop space adjacent to Grand Central Station, which has been operating for the past 20 years!

Upstairs is all private dining rooms of various sizes. The food our group had was excellent - tuna tartare, salmon, mousse.

From the hostess to the bartender, everyone is there to take care of you. The bartender was very personable and created the best cocktails for our tastes. Manhattan Townhouse for whiskey lovers.

Went to this place for the first time recently - can't believe I hadn't been before. Doesn't feel like midtown at all, and I hear the roof is great. Downstairs bar feels like a spot meant for bourbon

Gorgeous rooftop with both open and covered seating. Go before 5pm and there will be tons of space. Free wifi.

One of the few bars on the east side with a beautiful and legitimate rooftop. It could make the west and midtown jealous.

Fried Chicken Fridays are a perfect place to take a date. $25 for fried chicken, two sides, dessert, and live jazz. Make a reservation; they often fill up.

Probably the least crowded outdoor space for an after work drink in Midtown east. Cocktails are average and overpriced.
