Ariana Faustini: The master of all Tahoe resorts. It's pricey (unless you've got a pass) but this mountain really rocks. Amazing views, long runs and long lines, but worth the wait. Be sure to hit up Granite Chief!

Ariana Faustini: I think Kirkwood is my favorite (after Mammoth). Why? Because it's not as crowded as the other Tahoe resorts. Plus the backside has some great terrain and there are plenty of bowls for freshies.
Ariana Faustini: Nice place to take visiting family. Perks: wide expansive terrain, close to downtown entertainment, and the views. I prefer to hit up less crowded areas myself but it's a good mountain.

Ariana Faustini: Good place for learning on the south side of the lake. It's quick and convenient to get to but that makes it crowded. Smaller mountain but has some great bowls after storms.

Ariana Faustini: It's good riding but pricey. Nice features. Make this a once-a-year deal then go to Kirkwood for the rest of the time. Vail owns both so either way they collect the dues.
Ariana Faustini: Right off the freeway you can spend a good couple of hours learning some great skills. Don't expect long runs, but lots of features. It's good for a day trip. Don't leave your board laying around.
