NoraMay 23, 2014One of the most confusing airports I have been through. Coach express drop off at "Arrivals", counter check-in and baggage drop off in T3, and flight gate in T1!!
New terminal is now open. Completely different experience compared to the old one!

Jonathan OrmeJuly 15, 2011Ready for part deux of the next leg to the UK. Sat in the departure lounge feeling slightly wired with adrenalin, no sleep and anti-biotics. Think I should see Tron Legacy again - I didn't follow it.
Unlike many European airports which are a lot dirtier and have no friendly staff. Many of the bad c0mments here are mainly fr0m terminated people
As crew for Etihad airways I see a lot of airports but Abu Dhabi is the best organized one.... Free wifi... Enough employees, clean

kim foxJanuary 26, 2020Make sure that you get the eye scan/e-registration BEFORE heading to passport control. There is no signage that will tell you to do it first.
Costa Coffee @ Departure is decent ... Mozzarella with Tomato and Basil sandwich is recommended ... >:o)

After passing the customs, it feels like your walking in to the red carpet when the sliding door opens, lots of people waiting with placards and looks like they are waiting for your autograph :p
Paul FarrellSeptember 28, 2014Etihad lounge has moved to gate 35. Horrific lighting and terrible food so head straight to the Six Senses spa. Shower, massage will compensate for the asylum chic lighting style.

Super quick during COVID-19 times. No need to wait and all in hygienic conditions. Restrictions are in place.

The best airport ❤️! But I wish the extension is done soon! Delays in connecting flights due to massive queues if buses!

Really great architecture. It's he one thing UAE always gets right.
The store Pure Gold has excellent options and good prices.
Smart door immigration is amazing and eases the process really fast. An eye scan should be done first though.

Avoid Sunday morning flights except if you are travelling business or you are an Etihad Guest program silver/gold member ... also do online check in and avoid lackage
