Fascinating experience to board a submarine and a destroyer. The museum inside is quite static in comparison. Note: the tall ship James Craig at the side is not part of the museum and is free to visit

Be sure to spend some time at the Welcome Wall, which chronicles the millions of people (like me and my family) who have settled in this wonderful place. We'll be on the wall soon! 😊

The Endeavour wasn't in the harbour but it was still a good afternoon out. Enjoyed the submarine (in particular) and their volunteer guides are so passionate it's a pleasure listening to them.

Boards ships and experience what life is like on the water. We loved going on board the destroyer, submarine and tall ship. You will pay $32 for full access. Cheaper rates for regular visits.

Buy the 'big ticket' $25/$15 and explore the Endevour replica, Vampire Navy destroyer and Onslow submarine. Definitely the highlights of the visit. Volunteer guides are friendly and helpful @ANMMuseum

Be sure to wear comfortable shoes! Crawling around the submarine, destroyer, and tall ship is hard on shoes and clothes.

Don't bother walking all the way up here if you've got a kid under 3 feet tall - not allowed on the boats even with if they're in a hiking pack..
