If you're feeling brave enough, try the "coffin bao" - fried bao stuffed with fried chicken topped with condensed milk syrup and crushed peanut.

What more can I say that hasn't already been said? But seriously, try the tofu, even if you're health-averse. If you can't eat the buns (allergy?) they'll make you a bowl of meat on cabbage. Perfect!

You can't go wrong with anything on their menu. Everything is delicious. Special all week long, any 3 baos and fries for $15. The green tea with sugar cane is a very refreshing compliment.

The prices are very competitive, and it's got a great alternative feel. This is a solid spot to get some grub when you don't feel like cooking and want a cool place to hang for a bit.

Chairman Bao is a must! I'll say it's a bit overhyped now that you can get these types of buns anywhere for less but it's good place to try out if you're near union square

Must get the Chairman Bao or the Fried Chicken Bao with a side of Taro fries. Service was great when I mentioned my peanut allergy. Not to mention the place is always playing some good Hip hop

eat the buns there if you can - they don't travel terribly well. tofu and veggie buns are surprisingly excellent. get an apple soda for the side.

Eddie's place here walks the talk! Had the chairman, spiceland and uncle jesse. The spiceland was my favorite but the others were no way inferior. Stamp of approval here as the real deal!

SO GOOD! Get the Taro Fries or the Bao Fries for a stickier, sweeter taste. The coffin fish bao is a bit sweeter than I could handle but the fish bao in general is out of this world good

Some orders are really good, others are okay. Try to order one of each to get a taste first then pick your favorite. My favorite was Coffin Bao Fried Chicken followed by the Coffin Bao Fried Fish.

The pro belly is still great but the fried chicken has been getting weirder and weirder over the past couple of years. Also they have not had taro fries the last three times i went :(

Steamed, fluffy buns. Gourmet, savory fillings. Find all kinds of scrumptious Taiwanese street food that’ll make your wallet and belly happy. And rejoice, almost everything on the menu is under $5.

the food is not traditional exactly, but the twists maintain the integrity and homey-ness of taiwanese eats. my favorites are the minced pork over rice and the birdhaus bao. hella gooood.

Those little baos will be the death of me. Light, chewy but soft as a cloud, and bursting with flavor. If you've never had a pork bun, put down what you're doing and go get one.

Trendy place for a quick bite. The bao's are small, pricey, and delicious. Get the manager's meal if you're actually hungry. Pair it with the fresh soy milk.

Hip hop and scribbled decor all over, almost too cool for itself..., but the taro fries themselves and a can of Apple Sidra drink is well worth coming for though!

This is basically the entirety of Eddie Huang's soul condensed in to restaurant. Loud hip hop and amazing bao! pricier than what you can find in Chinatown but fun experience. Bathroom's kind of gross.

This place is awesome. Loved Chairman Bao, although I prefer my pork belly crispier, don't like chewing on fat (though many do). Stay away from oyster Bao. Not as flavorful, oysters almost raw.

Most will go straight for the classic Chairman Bao (pork belly) or the obviously tasty Birdhaus (fried chicken). But do not sleep on the Broccolino (tempura broccoli). Extremely good.
