Tofu soup is great. I tried the mixed tofu soup and I love it. Spicy lover must try danger spicy and people who want mild spicy should order standards the rib is good too. Seafood pancake is not bad.
Come after midnight and you can literally split an entire galbi/kalbi meal with soondubu and hella banchan for around $12 between 2 people. Best, probably yummiest late night deal in NYC ❤️
If you're Korean and like marinated crabs, try their spicy crabs here! Really bang for your buck and tasty! They cut it up into easy pieces so you don't have to get your hands dirty as much.
Excellent jap chae, definitely worth a try. If you're a vegetarian, don't be surprised by the fish they bring out, just tell them you don't eat it. Overall good option as a solo diner. Quick service.
Serves great Korean food. Really yummy soft tofu soup (soondubu) in Koreatown. Nice side dishes and fish. I like the mushroomtofu soup. Gets very busy during peak hours, so be prepared to wait.
Inexpensive and filling spread of high quality Korean eats. The hot pot of fresh tofu with kimchi is amazing. Plus it comes with several delicious sides (and free refills).
Great Korean food! The banchan is awesome (the fish is delicious!). Try their homemade tofu, coming in a sizzling soup. Also great hot-stone bibimnbap. No reservations, but the line moves fast.
Come with a few friends and order a bunch of food to all try. I'd recommend the Soondubu (tofu soup), Spicy PorkBulgogi, and Bulgogi (rib eye) - all of the dishes were delicious and so flavorful
Very tasty & reasonably priced K food. Grilled Galbi & spicy pork (cooked in kitchen) were ESP good. On hot days, it gets steamy in here! AC isn't great here. Ban chan are a little lackluster
Very good organictofu. u'll find plenty of vegetarian dishes. It is possible to customize possitios from menu if i have any diet restrictions. Great place to eat lunch/dinner with friends or familly
Be prepared to wait. But, delish food on a cold wintery night. Got the mixed seafood and beefsoondubu! Lots of food, could feed two peeps! Also, I got it regular spice and it was hot enough!
Soondubu (tofu soup) is so great! U can opt with or without meat in ur soup. Personal opinion, I'll opt without. After all, what they are good for, tofu right? Just haf a simple soup to taste the tofu
I love this place! The appetizers are amazing. They give you a whole fish! Usually I order the seafood pancake, tofu soup, and kalbi. I love it here. The servers are nice and friendly.
Get the Kimchi sondoobu tofu soup with bulgogi & mushrooms ($2 extra). Bulgogi portions look big enough to feed two. Avoid coming with a group unless you want to wait at least 45 minutes.
In all my years coming here just recently found out no meal here is 100% veg in spite of seeming it (made w/ fish sauce or chicken stock). You can put in the request with your server to make it so.
the soondubu jjigae (spicy tofu stew) is excellent, as are the banchan (side dishes). if you're feeling adventurous, get the spicy raw crab. it's really great with a cold beer.
Dank af . night special is great. I got the ribs which came with tofu soup, rice, little kimchi things, an egg, and fried fish. So good. I'll definitely be back ;)
The lunch specials are expensive as hell but it's a ton of food? The galbilunch special seemed even better than those at the more highly touted Kang Ho Dong and Jongro...
Place is large, so wait times are short even when the queue seems overwhelming. Service is fast and they do the food justice. Most of clientele is Chinese.
