- Manny HernandezSeptember 15, 2013I really want this place to do well. It's nice and their sauces are great but their meats need some serious help. If your fav bbq is Delaneys/Mighty Quinns, don't come here. Will be disappointed.
- The chicken wings, pig wings, and brisket are great. All the sauces have improved since opening. Beer & liquor menu are top notch. Trust your Bar Keep, as they are top notch too.
- Ashley AlvarezJanuary 13, 2017Somehow there's always room at this spacious BBQ/craft beer hall. A small arcade, boardgames, and lots of whiskey, what's not to love. Pro order: the Hogzilla sandwich.
- EaterMarch 4, 2014Most people are probably going for the barbecue and the brown spirits, but the 42 draft lines immediately make it the best place to get beer in Bed-Stuy.
- Robert CamposMarch 6, 2016This place serves pretty decent bbq. It's not as crowded as Fette Sau and has more of a BBQ and Bar vibe, esp. as a music venue. The Mix Tape can honestly feed 3 people.
- Jean McCarthyJuly 26, 2016Board games, arcade games, photo booth, alcoholic root beer floats, friendly bartenders and I heard the food is terrific.
- Sarah PalmerAugust 7, 2014The chili is basically meat...delicious, but certainly not like chili. Had the PB+ J sandwich which was wonderful. The Hillbilly truffles come as three pieces and are very rich and chocolaty.
- Cole KennedyApril 26, 2015Drink an IPA (they have so much craft beer) and eat Hillbilly Nachos (they're the ultimate gourmet stoner food fantasy) and listen to some loud rock 'n' roll.
- Brew YorkOctober 23, 2013Don't be intimidated by the steel facade - behind it is the perfect man-date venue: heaping helpings of barbeque, sports on the big screen, and a whopping 41 craft beers on tap that rotate regularly.
- The New YorkerMarch 3, 2014There are 200+ whiskeys, ryes, & bourbons—from “Catdaddy corn whiskey, which tastes like bubblegum cough syrup, to James E. Pepper 1776 fifteen-year-old bourbon, reminiscent of oak & toasted caramel.” Read more
- James G.November 23, 2013Straight in Bed-Stuy. Just a freaking hop, skip and a jump from the real hood spots. But not too crazy to discourage you hipster from posting up. Plus they sell 40oz & Genesee too. Booyah!!!
- Stacy GeverFebruary 18, 2014The place smells like god's vagina. The food here is seriously orgasmic. Mac n cheese side = delish. Pbr and pb+j sandwiches = delish. Even the coleslaw is delish. Too bad it's in Bed Stuy
- Alyssa BereznakJanuary 24, 2015spacious sports bar! friendly bartenders, crazy ton of beer choices, flavored bourbons, and delicious bbq! try the basil bourbon
- Adam MayMay 17, 2016Great Beer selection, Great BBQ, Outdoor seating, pinball and other games, and occasional music. This place is amazing.
- So much space! Black Swan's Achilles Heel is now remedied. Food is great and awesome selection of beers. I wanna come watch sports here! Lets get some TVs and they are set.
- Diana HongMay 18, 2014Happy hour buy one get one free, everyday. One of the most impressive selection of beer and whiskey. The hillbilly nachos were pretty fantastic.
- KimbaMarch 9, 2014This place is decent, tried pulled pork, brisket, spare ribs, macn'cheese. But sadly, Fette Sau/Delaney's have ruined me for all other BBQ spots in the area. 2 for 1 happy hour before 8 rules though.
- Micah RichMay 20, 2017Closed down! Very sad, this place was one of my favorites. I saw on Google it closed, was shocked, so went to investigate — the sign was taken down, bags on the doors, and a notice. 💔
- Tina GrazioseSeptember 30, 2013great frozen whiskey sours. awesome bartenders and a sold beerost and over 200 whiskey a. going to be a staple from now on!
- ryan mcmanusOctober 5, 2013Amazing food. Even better beer selection. Will definitely make this a regular stop! Everybody should go.
- Robbie SironFebruary 20, 2016The Angry Mac is amazing. Ask for the PB&J (pork belly and jalapeño) sandwich. It's ridiculous
- Great selection of beers and good food (brisket and mac & cheese stand out) but does the music have to be so darn loud?!
- Julius TarngJuly 23, 2016Bbq is whatever but super chill spot - spacious w board games and outdoor space and TV
- Sara 🌈⚔🍾May 5, 2015Awesome concept and space. Love the frozen whiskey drinks. But the food is nothing special and the service at the bar is horrible. Definitely won't go out of my way to go back.
- Bartender was super sweet! Great wings & brisket. Try all the sauces & the rub whilst making the noms!
- Brisket and pimento mac and cheese are amazing. Skip the smoked chicken wings. The mean mustard sauce is like crack in a bottle.
- Tarah FeinbergApril 5, 2015Some of the best BBQ I've had outside of texas. The wings, brisket, pulled pork, etc.
- John PorterSeptember 22, 201340 beers on tap and great BBQ. They just opened and ran out of food at 930pm but they will get the hang of it. Hire a runner for the food. People will sit and drink while they wait for the food.
- Nick BurtoDecember 6, 2014Pretty empty vibe but amazing selection of beer and bourbon. Mac & cheese with BBQ sauce was delish!
- Abner AcevesNovember 16, 2015Pretty good BBQ. Big portions, lots of beers on tap. Great for big groups
- Marc MayerAugust 27, 2015It seems like a great idea to order a bourbon hurricane until you're only halfway through it and seeing double. Then it IS a great idea.
- Terri RJune 4, 2016I love the brisket, baked beans, and the hillbilly nachos. Bartenders here are great, too!
- Amy TremmelMarch 18, 2015Some of the best BBQ in NYC. Bartenders will recommend one of their 20+ beers on tap.
- Dustin LeeJuly 9, 2016Great spot as a bar with a large beer selection, but very disappointing as a BBQ place. tl;dr - come to drink, not to eat.
- CBS New YorkApril 26, 2016Beast of Bourbon is serving Harpoon IPA and a Pulled Pork Slider for Ales N' Apps Week (May 9-13)
- Kyle Cameron StudstillApril 1, 2015Whiskey infusions: at the time of writing, sage, basil, mango-jalapeño, pepper-lemongrass
- Beer (40+ taps), Bourbon (100+?), meat (unlimited).... nough said
