Stunning facility, worth booking a tour in advance, even though it's not offered in English. You only get to try one of the types, so make sure you have a cheese shop lined up for before/after.
Killer cheese selection, truly stunning. Also a bunch of great meats, wines, spirits, etc. Get some Morbier, Mont d'Or, Cancoillotte (one plain and at least one flavored), and of course, hella Comté
The best Coq au Vin Jaune of the trip. Great list of Vin Jaune and Sous Voile Savagnin by the bottle: go with as large a group as you can muster, and have some fun with it.
Another very good Coq au Vin Jaune, another fun wine list. Comté in everything, as it should be.
A truly beautiful meal. Service was warm and funny. Wine list was really, really fun. Buuuuut the food was boring and repetitive. At this price point, it needs to be better.
Perhaps our favorite wines of the trip, and super convenient to walk to if you're staying in Arbois. Appointment only, very little English spoken, but still an absolute delight. Savagnin all day.
