Eric: The lamb barbacoa and the "quesadilla de sesos" (which is not a quesadilla in the tex-mex sense: more like brain tacos with a mix of other stuff) are both legit. Both dishes on the greasy side, fwiw.
Eric: Outdoor stand doing five different tacos (pastor, suadero, longaniza, campechano, birria) and they're all great. 5 tiny tacos for 30 pesos. Glorious.
Eric: Awesome little hole in the wall that only sells al pastor tacos. Get them con todo (with both red and green sauce) and squeeze some lime in to finish. They're small: you'll want at least two.

Eric: They have two different types of al pastor taco here: the regular ones, and pastor de arrachera (beef). They also have a big grilled for things like ribs (costilla). All of them are great.
Eric: The lechón taco is by far the best of the three taco options on the menu. These are fancy tacos at a sit-down bar/restaurant, so be prepared to pay about double what you'd pay elsewhere.

Eric: AKA hipster tacos. More creative than your average taqueria, especially on the specials menu (on the back of the regular menu). Lots of wine, garlic, etc. Think ~40 pesos/taco, but totally worth it.

Eric: Fernando's "Tacos de Mariscos" stall is no more, but there were plenty of great other food stall options. And this is a great place to come if you need ingredients: fruit, veg, and lots of meats.

Eric: A really good museum: the grounds are gorgeous, intimate bits of her life are scattered throughout, and the art is stunning. Make sure to hit Tostadas Coyoacán and Café Avellaneda afterwards!

Eric: Killer tostadas and agua frescas (aguas fresca?). The shrimp tostada was our favorite, but the rest are all great too. Tamarindo agua fresca for the win.

Eric: A really fun list of mezcals you can't get elsewhere in town. Good snacks and ceviche. Fun ecclectic music with a live DJ who sits under the bar. Fills up fast, so get there early.
