Don't be pushed away because it's vegetarian. B & H has the best breakfast in EV hands down, and it's only $6! Homemade challah bread and the friendliest staff around. Say hi to Mike! Good juices too.

Get the perogies or an omelette, and if you're craving something sweet, challah French toast is the way to go. Grab a fresh juice on your way out, and enjoy the friendliest service ever.

Huge portions for cheap. I got borscht soup (good), stuffed cabbage with steamed veggies (alright- get the potato side instead). Best part was the fresh challah.

This Jewish dairy restaurant remains a paragon of the meatless half of Kosher Jewish cuisine. Sit at the long lunch counter and enjoy cheese-squirting blintzes, egg sandwiches and savory soups.

The fresh smoothies & juices are yummy & only ~$5. Bonus points because they're served in transparent red tumblers. Makes you feel like you're at summer camp!

East village institution should be an official landmark. Luckily we didn't lose it in the explosion earlier in the year. Quick, honest food for a fare price. Don't forget about the fresh juices too.

They're open again. Egg cream is okay but not as good as I make at home. Borscht and kasha are both great. And it's really inexpensive too.

Eastern European vegetarian lunch counter. Go for breakfast hash browns, egg and cheese sandwiches on challah, and plenty of Old World charm.

The sandwiches are made on the amazing challah bread. The mozzarella sandwich is great, make sure you add salt though. Egg sandwich is amazing, tons of dill.
