- Enjoy an affogato on a hot day. Also can't go wrong with their New Orleans iced coffee.
- One of my favorite places in SFO. Good breakfast, great atmosphere and obviously the coffee. Start your SFO day here.
- Can HüzmeliMay 19, 2014Best coffee i ever tasted, the first that i liked more than Turkish COFFEE. The staff was helpfull. And the white haired cashier looks so mysterious.
- Antonis KalipetisFebruary 8, 2015Coffee is different and awesome, Americano was full of flavors! Make sure to try the Tomato Sauce Eggs on the weekend brunch menu.
- Vaidehi KJune 30, 2015Ask for a cortado which is called 'gibraltor' on the west coast. It's not on the menu, but they'll make it for you and make it great.
- Peter LangsamMay 12, 2013New Orleans iced coffee + Belgian waffle w/ strawberries + side of sausage = best brunch combo I have encountered in a long long time. Pretty happening place as well
- steve BENovember 29, 2014Although there are some good looking and tasty options here && I had a nice hot chocolate, have a public service announcement: If you take too long in the restroom, you will be KICKED OUT! #Iwas
- Always busy and not a lot of space but you can get their amazing vacuum pot here! If the inside has a long line, try the little kiosk outside to save time.
- Marc NgJune 23, 2018One of my favs! Always a pleasure to visit. No poached egg on toast for me today but it is so good 😁
- The toast and poached eggs are a delight, when ordered with a side of bacon. Often busy!
- Ross SiegelSeptember 11, 2011Try to get a smile or kind word out of the people who work here. I dare you. You'll fail, no doubt. To kick the stakes up a notch, try for a smile after asking for a straw for your iced coffee.
- Sandra FransenFebruary 20, 2016Best breakfast sandwich in SF so far, excellent with the Gibraltar coffee.
- Kanichi NakataNovember 13, 2011Truly excellent coffee. They put a lot of care into making each cup and it definitely shows. The brunch menu is also an often overlooked treasure, just don't expect seating for more than 2-3 people.
- LolosaurrOctober 4, 2014This one sees quite a bit of a queue, likely due to the more accessible location. Indoor sitting is limited and quite warm. I'd recommend to-go only. Try other BB spots for a better experience.
- They have full breakfast and lunch menus. For breakfast, the French toast is amazing.
- Hiroyoshi SuzukiJune 28, 2013Fancier than philz. Usually lighter roast than peets or philz. Originally from Oakland! Very knowledgeable staff. A lot snobs like me like to go here
- Mark KellemsJune 23, 2013Best espresso in the city. Get it from the San Marco machine. Staff is very friendly and incredibly knowledgable. Steven was the best!
- Iris Y.May 2, 2013Order a Gibraltar (perfect drink for the summer when you don't want an iced coffee) and sip it by the window while watching people walk by.
- Mark DurneySeptember 23, 2012They just "get" coffee. Starbucks has its silly Clover coffee machine while Blue Bottle has its cold brew system that requires a Phd in particle science to operate by hand. Spend .25 more on the Kyoto
- Carole LoomisMarch 4, 2016The coffee is truly worth waiting for. No need for a double latte, one is nice and strong. Food is limited, but good.
- Stephen BarnesJanuary 18, 2015Siphon brewed coffee is their specialty, and you should definitely experience it.
- Favorite blue bottle in the city. I like the high ceilings.
- Go here for a decent cup of coffee, but I would encourage you to try Special Xtra for a better espresso
- K ZiggyMay 1, 2013You know there will be great coffee when there is a line @ 6:55 am before the shop opens @ 7am. New Orleans iced coffee is yummy
- Mel AyerAugust 22, 2014I love the New Orleans style iced coffee. So smooth and just sweet enough. The best coffee on earth?
- Steve AndroulakisAugust 6, 2014Get a cortado. It's like a small, strong latte (unlike in Spain where it's mostly espresso with a 'stain' of milk).
- Skip the line and enjoy your delicious New Orleans iced coffee outside.
- tina huangOctober 15, 2015this place can get pretty crowded, thankful for the no wifi situation! grab a pour over at their outdoor stand -- wider selection, less wait time.
- Anneliese NieAugust 30, 2013I already see tips about the iced coffee, but I cannot emphasize how delightful it is, especially on a warm day when you sip on it outside in Mint Plaza
- Erik CoxMarch 17, 2014Two notes about buying beans here: 1) You don't have to wait in line if you're only getting beans, just go up to the register. 2) They will not grind it for you.
- 𝙶𝚘𝚗𝚣𝚊𝚕𝚘 𝙰𝚛𝚎𝚗𝚊𝚜December 11, 2022If you like Blue Bottle, and are ever in Berlin - check out The Barn.
- The Acme toast here is insane. I know it seems pricey.. But it's the best slice of bread an butter you'll find downtown. Even better with a poached egg on top.
- Toast and poached eggs. very very tasty. you can also see various SF Bay/Silicon Valley luminaries like @Jack Dorsey if you keep your eyes open.
- Rachael LeonieFebruary 23, 2015Come early as you'll have to wait for your coffee, but don't worry --it's worth it!!
- Treat yourself to all of the cookies: double chocolate chip, snickerdoodle, and ginger. Each one is uniquely fantastic.
- Like rich, dark coffee? Try an Oji iced coffee, it'll blow your hair back.
- Shelly ZordichAugust 27, 2014Their delicious (and pretty) mocha with a good book makes the perfect afternoon.

- Stijn Ortega coppinJune 1, 2015Very drinkable coffee. A rare commodity in the U.S. Good spot to have a quick breakfast as well
- Breakfast sandwich is serviceable (bacon is good) but a bit too oily. Frittata is also too dense. Better than many but not top notch.
- Kristen RSeptember 9, 2016Just a few blocks from the moscone center, this is my go to place for non-hotel coffee when I'm here for a conference
