- Chris ChoiAugust 16, 2014Music is really good since I got to see Earl Klugh. I would steer away from the food. My suggestion is that have dinner somewhere else and come in time for the show and have some drinks.Upvoted 4 weeks ago
- Arrive early to get a good table near the stage. Attended a Jimmy Heath Big Band performance and loved it! Will definitely return.Upvoted 2 weeks ago
- Mark ForscherAugust 25, 2015The staff also knows magic: if you buy 4 seated tickets to the show in advance, watch the fourth seat disappear when the staff seats a stranger at your table. Classy.
- Cozy venue can get intimate with the shared table neighbors but it’s part of the experience. classical nyc institution. Always a great selection of musicians! Drinks are a bit pricey but good. Food ok
- Mark ForscherAugust 25, 2015Good music, terrible food. You could describe the seating as intimate if you think it's intimate to sit *on* the person to your left, right, and behind you without moving for the whole show.
- Gets packed really quickly, and for good reason. Legendary performers give legendary performances here, but at a premium. Even though it's expensive, it's always a good show.
- Anthony CrawfordAugust 4, 2013The performance was great and visiting such a great historical place like this is great; but the seating is tight. Table seating will force you to sit shoulder to shoulder with strangers.
- Village VoiceFebruary 25, 2016The Brazilian Legend Seu Jorge is coming to the Big Apple for a 10-date residency at Blue Note. Check out his mix of funk and jazz and experience a taste of the soul of Brazil. Read more
- JamesJanuary 1, 2023ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS SHOW UP EARLY TO GET THE BEST SEATS. Also don’t sit right at the stage with your back to the performer. Your neck will hate you.
- Jeffrey KaoAugust 27, 2015A bunch of great names here, with the trade off of being pricy and crowded. Regardless, it's worth the experience!
- AmateurConciergeMay 1, 2019$25 for the show. Great guests but food is to be avoided at all costs. Rightmost balcony seat in the back has the best vantage.

- chica latteMarch 20, 2017i have been many times Blue Note in Milan. it is much better than in NYC. but its cosy atmosphere is better here.
- Louis VuittonMay 2, 2012The crème de la crème in New York Jazz, the Blue Note is more of a shrine to the good old days of jazz. Get tickets to the later show and enjoy a few encore songs!
- Sopho GirdaladzeApril 17, 2023Come earlier to get seats in front. Though all seats are good enjoy the show🙌🏻. Recommend
- DoubleDeuceDecember 21, 2018A great place to catch some live tunes. And if it's that time of year, to take in some holiday cheer too!
- Amazing music but spectacularly uncomfortable, w/ chairs & tables packed in beyond the level of comfort & safety. Should be a 6-star spot but is so uncomfortable I think twice before getting tix.
- Percy HolmesFebruary 10, 2017The Blue Note is a great spot to enjoy live Jazz or perhaps your favorite artist. I'm now a loyal fan.
- Jeetendra ChandragiriJanuary 5, 2012Get here early to ensure a good table close to the stage. Place your orders (vegetarians, you're taken care of), sit back and lose yourself as the legendary performers transport you to Heaven.
- Gadi ShamiaSeptember 10, 2017Skip the food, order beer and listen to some good Jazz. Which last night show was more New Orleans and less Denver but it was good nonetheless.
- Brendon AmbroseSeptember 28, 2018A lot of money for such poor service. Somewhat made up for by great drinks, acts and cocktails. The sound quality is spot on even in a small crowded space.
- Alejandra VargasApril 2, 2015Amazing place to have a jazz concert! Good to have a drink and enjoy the music.
- Sam LeeFebruary 16, 2014Awesome!)) but have dinner elsewhere and just come for the show and a drink or 2. Everything grossly overpriced and pack to the gills but the music is the draw
- MetroFocusFebruary 23, 2012Performing artist Harry Belafonte who's a regular here calls this local spot one of the hippest jazz joints in the country. Read more about why Belafonte loves Blue Note on MetroFocus Read more
- Carl FigueiredoDecember 14, 2012It's the Blue Note: epic NYC jazz venue. The service sucks. Music is what it's about here. You can sit within sweat-range of your favorite icon. Do it
- Mag MagpieAugust 31, 2018Old fashioned jazz bar. Cocktails are dated but quite well made. Food menu is very expensive. Good atmosphere to watch the musicians
- Blake LJanuary 8, 2018I loved it so much, i went twice in one month. Food and drinks are OK. Go for the music 🎶🎷🎺
- Mark WertNovember 11, 2013Saw Michel Camillo and his big band here... We sat way in the back, but we could see and here just fine... And we appeared to have more space than others in the club did.

- the way they pack you in like a sardine can is what makes New Yorkers despise this place but you can't deny the amazing music that runs through it. Calamari is decent.
- Younes ChaMarch 12, 2015We went to see Women of the World. They were great. The food is unpalatable, really. The cocktails were all surprisingly good though. Service was alright.
- Lulú De PanbehchiJune 27, 2021This is a great place! The best tables are the ones next to the stage.
- Haldun KamburoğluApril 28, 2018Music is good but it is not a club. They send the people by check out immediately after the show finishes, to seat next customers for another show. Three show in a night does not mean a night club.
- Sabrina WangJanuary 28, 2015great live jazz night experience. very close distance between the audience and stage.
- Lilly CalandrelloJune 25, 2010The music here is amazing! The list of great artist who have played the Blue Note is phenomenal. The place itself .. not so much. Somewhat of a cave. But I always enjoy it anyway :) Read more
- Ercan BalcıMay 28, 2018Top jazz players are here, we saw Duke Ellington orchestra tonight, was unbelievable:)
- Tracey LarvenzNovember 11, 2013You can bring your own bottles of wine for a $25 corkage fee. Worth it if you're not a fan of their selection.
