Seating is plentiful, the drink list features a fair share of low-alcohol brews, and traditional Czech food is available to soak up some of that booze. What is there not to love about this bierhaus? Read more

This is a great place to have a friendly gathering. With Czech specialties in food and a great variety of beers you'll need nothing more. The garden is divided to smoking and non-smoking areas.

Beer Gardens are great, especially this one in Astoria. NYC's oldest beer garden. It is unpretentious and has a very relaxing atmosphere. Nice beer menu and good food.

The Czech food is amazing. Succulent roast pork, goulash, potato pancakes and dumplings. Also, of course, a solid selection of European and American beers with great outdoor seating.

Love their beers but hate the dust. Outdoor setting gets very hot in the summer. Get you sunblock. Food and drinks are standard. It's a gem in the neighborhood, the place to get drunk during lunch

Delightful way to spend a summer afternoon. Perfect for convivial daytime imbibing with friends. Watch your step when navigating the sprawling garden: small children often run underfoot.

There are many imitators, but this is the one true, traditional beer garden in New York. Its beer selection isn't huge, and mainly skews to imports, naturally, but the atmosphere is one of a kind.

This place is a classic establishment - the beer selection is not large, but what they have is great. I like the Franziskaner with the potato pierogies.
