There's so many great dishes to have and much more to get than just those macaroons everyone raves about...for another quick bite, you can't go wrong with PortabelloFries. ;0)
"Grab AMAZE desserts to go from the chicpatisserie, grab a sandwich from the front-room café, or relax with friends in the main room. A downtown staple! My personal pref. is the fried pasta!" -Kate
Pleasantly surprised. Recommend Napoli pizza, Portobello fries w/ basic garlic sauce are fantastic. Chocolate souffle is divine, but please allow 20min for preparation. Don't forget the Macarons!
Carb central – but totally worth it! This lively, fun and New York like eatery has the best pastries in town – the selection of French macaroons are to die for! -Herschel
Mussels very good. Scampi very very good. Linguiniclam, overcooked, washy but edible. Chef too generous with garlic. You don't need as much to cook italian :) generally speaking is worth the trip!
I highly recommend this place, if you have a sweet tooth but don't want to spend not much or have to many extra calories that ice cream gives you. Get a macaroon!
The tip here is you should leave a good tip because the waiters rock. Also it's a swell place to eat and sometimes see ESPN personalities...and get sweets on the way out...and go back to work happy
If you don't feel like sitting down for a full meal (or if you can't get a table), just sit in the bar area and grab some well-crafted cocktails and macarons!
Ooooh Eeeeem Geeeeee! This place is delicious. I can't wait to go back. Definitely getting the portobello fries & artichoke pizza again. Also desserts GALORE!!!!!
One of the loudest and noisiest places i've ever been to. Food is really great, including the Pizza but don't count on making a normal conversation. Prices are OK, compared to the quality of the food
Nestled on the chaotic corner of Grand Avenue and 7th Street in downtown Los Angeles, Bottega Louie really knows how to enchant, intrigue, and satisfy the palate.
Window seat is a great way to see some interesting locals as they drift past. Portobello Fries + Brussel Sprouts sides recommended. Decent Euro style coffee. Superb service!!
I always get top notch service here and good food. Just don't go here if you want quiet dining...the LA Times ranked them as one of toe noisiest dining spots in town-which I would not disagree with
A great downtown restaurant with high ceilings and a beautiful large dining room—it used to be an old bank and the space is as gorgeous as the food is delicious. - Kate Bosworth
Mussels had just enough spicy heat - super delish! Portabella fries-oh my yummy! Oh, and in case you somehow missed the desert case on the way in, leave room for desert!
