- Varun ShettyJanuary 19, 2014Maybe the best date spot in BK. Saddle up to the bar and eat your meal there. Constantly revolving menu, but I've never had a bad meal here. If the polenta with duck meatballs is on the menu, get it.
- Nicole CloutierSeptember 19, 2015Smoked Blue fish with green goddess was off the hook, kabocha squash with feta and pesto was nutty and tender. Big portions. Amazing, friendly, warm, intuitive service and great drinks. Con: Loud!
- I can't stress this enough but if they are offering the seafood stew for 2 you must get it. It's one of those special dishes that you will remember a place for. 2 thumbs and all that.
- Fodor's TravelSeptember 9, 2015If nostalgia for the king of rock overcomes you, order the Elvis pancakes, the giddy medley of bacon, peanut butter, banana, whiskey butter, and maple syrup will get you all shook up in no time. Read more
- This is one of my favorite restaurants in Carroll Gardens. The menu is seasonal and changes regularly. Start with a few of the smaller plates to share.
- Tim YoungSeptember 15, 2013One of the best meals I've ever experienced. Fresh, creative, perfectly seasoned and generous portions. With a menu that changes daily, well worth returning often!
- CITY GRITAugust 9, 2014We always start with the same three dishes - Kale, Corn, & Cucumber Pancake! Then we split the Bucatini & Chicken with a side of Falafel, of course!
- CompassMay 14, 2014Italian schoolhouse decor and mouthwatering pasta give plenty reason to stay, but those in-the-know call ahead for take-home meatballs and jarred sauces and sides from the mini market up front.
- Serious EatsFebruary 18, 2014Excellent Italian with thoughtful surprises, like roast Brussels sprouts served on a bed of whipped chickpeas with bacon and sorrel.
- CassidyNovember 7, 2014best meal I've had in 2014 and we ate the same night the health inspector came and interrupted their service. it sounds trite but literally everything we ate was incredible.
- Brad RickmanAugust 2, 2014Extraordinary french toast. Don't let the completely lackadaisical service deter you - the food is punching above its weight class, and worth digging down for some tolerance.
- Ray LinDecember 17, 2014A cozy brunch spot in Cobble Hill that isn't as crowded as you'd expect. The pork belly egg sandwich is amazing.
- Per-Josef IdivuomaApril 8, 2012Best place I've ever had dinner in NY. Good food and the staff even asked who I wanted as an waiter, never happened before. Try the Coolhaus sandwiches for dessert!
- Daniela MasciangeloMarch 17, 2011Get the Panelle sandwich. It's a chickpea patty light and fried with pickled peppers, ricotta cheese and honey drizzled on it. Delish. A little messy but good! Just wish the place served coffee!!!
- Chrissie MayrApril 23, 2011Panelle sandwich is one of the most delicious I've ever had. The honey drizzle really compliments the crispy chick pea fillet and creamy ricotta. This picky vegetarian will definitely be back.
- Tony XerriFebruary 3, 2013The food was great. Rabbit meatballs, octopus, lasagna, rice balls, all that. But the prices we're obnoxiously high for the portion size. It's a shame too because I'd like to go back...
- NickleshAugust 30, 2015A really well done and interesting take on brunch—if with a big group get the square table in the back.
- J CrowleyDecember 10, 2011OH MY GOD. The tagliatelle in tomato butter sauce with roasted brussel sprouts might be my favorite dish in brooklyn. i wanted to order a second one!
- Kathryn PhillipsAugust 16, 2015Really delicious brunch. Great coffee. Biscuit and jam was amazing, as were the grits and the yogurt.
- christian svanes koldingJanuary 10, 2016long time customers. have always loved brucie but tonight everything was off. each entree misfired while the service was tone deaf. i think it's over. we should have quit while we were ahead. goodbye.
- The homemade chicken sausage that appears in a few dishes is excellent, as are the sauces. For dessert get one of the Phinzy and Phoebe ice creams - my roommates swear by the Ginger Cookie flavor
- This place is all about the specials. Seasonal goodness and amazing butters (like tomato butter)
- Time Out New YorkOctober 5, 2011Try the house-rolled tagliatelle, with crispy brussel sprouts, rich tomato butter and creamy burrata. It’s one of our #100best dishes and drinks of 2011. Read more
- Montreal BrunchAugust 26, 2014Impressive brunch - french toast made coming here all worth it. Read more
- Jason Walker-YungMay 4, 2013Everything about the pork belly and egg sandwich is a winner: the pork, the egg, the sesame roll, and the white and hot sauce.
- Such a great spot for seasonal creatively crafted meals. I'm always happy here!
- Jessie RodgerJuly 3, 2015Love the cocktails and the ambiance! Definitely need to try outdoor area! Super cute!
- Celia HatfieldJuly 11, 2015It sounds weird but the blueberry cucumber popcorn cheddar pistachio salad is great... And the brunch75 cocktail
- Murray SSeptember 16, 2011I'm surprised the spaghetti & meatballs are getting such raves; I found the meatballs to be overly full of filler and the sauce uninteresting. The Caesar salad & caponata were good, tjough. Off night?
- Kristen TaylorFebruary 20, 2012People are right about the tagliatelle with the tomato butter, burrata, and crisped brussel sprouts. Make sure at least one of you orders it.
- Sarah Neal SimpsonJanuary 10, 2013Don't miss out on the appetizers. Kale/brussel sprouts, sweet potato/mozzarella, and blood orange/beets are all tremendous.
- etta yApril 15, 2015If every snackattack in the future were the crostini and straciatella appetizer they have here, I'd be 100% ok with that.
- Yaz F.December 13, 2014Everything is delicious but I just had the carrot cake sundae and I'm in heaven
- Dan NOctober 31, 2014The tagliatelle and cauliflower are must haves. Was let down by the spaghetti & meatballs.
- Matt DorvilleAugust 10, 2014You can do take out full lasagna from here if you have people visiting and it's awesome.
- J CrowleyJuly 16, 2014They foolishly dropped their best dish from the menu (tagliatelle w/ brussel sprouts). And you have to sit on uncomfortable stools w/ no backs. Sorry Brucie, unsubscribe!
- The roast sweet potatoes are delicious & the Hayley Bazen Blue is from Jasper Hill in VT. Delish, sizable portion. A neighbor raved about the seafood stew.
- Julius TarngMarch 30, 2015Dat $$$ but avocado app is dope. And hit up the Brucie cocktail - it's basically juice
- Katie TilsonFebruary 9, 2014For brunch get the soft boiled eggs, one of the best dishes I've ever had!
- Tomato butter/burrata tagliatelle has been off the menu for months and it is devastating.
- Melody GambinoAugust 22, 2014The arugula salad and the tomato butter bread. I don't need anything else in my life.
- The Coolhaus ice cream sandwiches like WHOA. highly recommend the potato chip cookie w/candied bacon ice cream.
- Andrea BarrezuetaDecember 14, 2015I can't decide whether I liked this place or not. The food was nice but the menu was confusing. So was the decor and service wasn't great. What put me off was how dirty the steps at the entrance were.
- Djaniella D.April 13, 2015Make sure to check the menu before dining because they seem to rotate out their popular dishes. Ordered two pasta entrées and they were OK - too overpriced for the quality and amount on the plate.
- The pork fried recipe is the cities finest remedy for everyday self abuse.
