- Cooper SmithJanuary 19, 2014The Carne Fries are like poutine and nachos had a beautiful Mexican- Canadian baby. Chile-cilantro fries, covered in cheese sauce, topped w/ beef brisket, onions, beans, pico, sour cream and guac
- Michelle WendyJuly 9, 2014They have a great lunchtime deal- choose any 2 tacos and it comes w/ a generous side of rice & beans topped w/ freely chopped tomato PLUS a little guac & chips for $10. Prepare to leave stuffed.
- Silene LimMarch 10, 2019Super casual and hip SoCal Mexican. I had the breakfast burrito at the bar. Burrito was decent. Will definitely go back to try some of the other things on the menu.
- Adriana NavarrolinoAugust 28, 2015The service was good, the waitress attentive, good timing, over all nice place for lunch especially when it's a lunch date with your mom...lol :-)
- Alex PyatetskySeptember 27, 2017Crispy sprouts w peanut sauce and matchstick radish v good. Chipotle wings with pickled green beans also on point (mild for my taste, but very well cooked). Reasonable price for a meal.
- JulesDecember 27, 2014The guac is solid, there are many hot sauce choices, and the food is generally yummy. Drinks tend to be a little sweet or spicy, so come hungry!
- Simply the best. Been coming here almost every Friday night for years. Standard is the Tostada Salad with Steak. Service is great, atmosphere is great, you won't be disappointed.
- Michelle WendyJuly 9, 2014Their black bean and tofu asado tacos are really solid veg options. You won't feel slighted in the least with either as there's balance of flavours and ingredients, even some complexity in taste.
- Kayla JohnsonOctober 2, 2013Get the elote!!!! Fish taco is standard and good- crack sauce really is delicious. Pork taco has great flavor! Get a tecate to wash all the deliciousness down!
- Kyle ByeSeptember 2, 2014The Chiclets gum at the end of your meal is a nice touch. Plus, helps settle your stomach after those delicious chicken quesadillas.
- Chris CooksonJanuary 10, 2015Be sure to check their Twitter before heading out. Not unusual to have a 30 minute wait between noon-1, carne asada quesadilla with chipotle crack sauce to dip is my favorite, no lines at 2pm on
- Jessica WickhamMarch 22, 2017Great bar and resturant. Go for 2-4-1 margaritas 4pm - 7pm and stay to enjoy guacamole to start then a great selection of tacos
- David SaracinoJuly 3, 2012Try the Baja Fish burrito. It's beer-battered with mango salsa, so it's sweeter, but coupled with the spicy slaw, there's a great balance of flavor. If you're afraid of fish in mexican food, try this.
- Rob MarcedaMay 27, 2012Brunch time is the best time. Same perfect margaritas and and delicious food(plus the added benefit of breakfast burritos and quesadillas) and no wait!
- Joaquin PrimeAugust 14, 2014The rolled quesadillas with carne asada and the guacamole and chips are delicious. Make sure you ask for the crack sauce with anything you eat!
- Kae BellsApril 26, 2014Cute lil spot, their quesadilla especially with the "crack" sauce, the hot wings are on point, so is the blue cheese! My boyfriend had the taco which he loved.
- ChrisDecember 13, 2014The Baja - fish taco - es muy bien. I also suggest the bean burrito bowl. Yes, the crack sauce is good but I don't think you should feel obliged to get something that has it.
- Order whatever u want and u will be pleased but make sure it has crack sauce and a side of chili cilantro fries! You're welcome.
- Big fan of the bar. Staff is awesome and no matter how packed and full of cool kids this place can get, always feel welcome getting a drink alone at the bar which I guess makes it my new local.
- Elvin OrtizMarch 19, 2017I been to a lot of places in NY but this one went beyond my expectations, great food, great drinks and great management! Thanks!!!
- Nick GJune 2, 2017Pork burrito wet! ; ) was delicious. Couldn't partake in bebidas was driving , well was riding my bicycle so yeah. Cool vibe in this joint will be back
- سليمانAugust 24, 2017Equally amazing and an insulting abomination to Mexican cuisine. Best 'hipster tacos' you'll ever have but do not bring your abuela
- Meg MinuskinDecember 28, 2013jalapeño mint margarita is BOMB and so are the tacos and quesadillas! BUT not all dishes are created equal. the breakfast burrito is 90% rice and the coffee is watery.
- GothamistJune 6, 2012Reminds us of a slightly classier, more charmingly sterile El Chilito. A black bean burrito with a squirt of "crack sauce" and a margarita with a heavily salted rim is all we need to be happy here.
- If you're lucky enough to be here on a weekend get the bacon, egg and cheese breakfast quesadilla it will change your outlook on life.
- Burritos, tacos! The crack sauce is a must. Cilantro fries are great!
- Byron WilkesDecember 22, 2015The fish tacos are incredible! The El Jardin cocktail was mediocre the time I tasted it, but the margaritas and chips are on point.
- The breakfast burrito is the best thing on the menu! Especially if you're big on rice-y and sauce-y burritos. And the smoked chorizo makes it.
- The food is solid, but try the chile habanero hot sauce if you want to know how hot Hell is. Wash it down with an El Barrio brew, exclusive from Sixpoint for Calexico.
- When the weather is nice and it's rowdy inside, try and sit in the backyard space. The Gringo taco is a guilty pleasure and, also, thumbs up to the elote.
- Margot MazurApril 11, 2015Delicious tofu tacos. Get the mezcal margarita—the bartenders are super friendly so dont be afraid to chat em up.
- Ali SkantzosAugust 25, 2016nice atmosphere, especially on the patio tucked away in the back. Steak fajitas were delicious and burritos were massive.
- Guacamole and chips, vegan bean burrito, and blood orange margarita.
- Jeff PetrielloFebruary 14, 2016Breakfast nachos are v legit. Not sure if this will be there when you are, but the Grape Ape cocktail special was GREAT.
- The chipotle pork rolled quesadilla with a side of crack sauce is a revelation. So cheesy and delicious.
- Bonnie SmythApril 19, 2019Everything is perfect. Food, service, ambiance. Baja fish tacos were incredible!
- Tofu burritos still exist despite removal from menu. Just ask. If you order tofu burrito bowl, ask for extra cheese. The best.
- The Carne Fries are stupidly good. My only, only complaint is that the brisket was a bit fatty. Other than that, dig in.
- Christian GrattanDecember 15, 2011Get extra Crack Sauce and bring presents to Miguel in the take out window at the back. There's a 99 cent store up the block on Manhattan called Dreams. Get him toys from there.
- Lizzy SaxeApril 30, 2016It's not the best Mexican food, but Calexico is a pretty tasty takeout option and I like their burrito bowls a lot.
- Sofia PapastamelosMarch 14, 2017Great 2 for 1 happy hour brunch deal on the weekends! Loved the breakfast burrito.
- Reliable awesome Mexican food and drinks. Pastor taco is dope, nachos not to be missed!
- Stephanie YuanJuly 30, 20162-for-1 margaritas all night on weekends = efficient. Menus are sticky but they have wet wipes if you just ask!
- Huge fan of the gringo taco. Calexico is more like Taco Bell than traditional Mexican food. In that category it's good.
- If what you ordered doesn't have crack sauce, get the crack sauce as an add-on. You won't regret it.
- Baja fish burrito. Haven't been able to order anything else here since I fell so deeply in love.
- Andres CarreraDecember 11, 2014Came here for lunch and tried the Carne Asada Tacos. They tasted very good.
