Caroline Deng: This farm is a huge hit with kids, because there are pigs, cows, chickens, cats, lambs in the spring, bunnies, and summer camps. There's even an eco-garden where they recycle waste into compost.
Caroline Deng: Downtown Mountain View has great Asian and ethnic food, and has a Farmer's Market every Sunday! Parking is nonexistent during peak hours, so park in one of the parking buildings in the side streets.

Caroline Deng: Fort Nunez Gaona marks the site of the first European settlement, a Spanish trading fort, in 1792. It also stands as a memorial for the nearly 300 Neah Bay veterans who served in the US military.
Caroline Deng: I took piano lessons for years with Nina Shektman. They offer student music recitals and art camps for kids. What's interesting is that they go by the ABRSM music exam rather than the American exam.
Caroline Deng: This place is what inspired the color "Filoli Green." The gardens and architecture of the estate are absolutely beautiful year-round, and the gift shop is very interesting to look at.
Caroline Deng: Buy the permit to go to the Cape Flattery Trail here. It has very interesting rustic decor in the store, and has a small deli. They also have a very clean public restroom and shower facility.
Caroline Deng: Been going here since I was a kid and still love it! The only outdoor skating rink in the area. Admission is $10 and skates rental is $4. The Zamboni machine + snow blow are always highlights!
Caroline Deng: It's so peaceful here and it's a great place to relax with nature. It's located right next to Shibuya station and neighborhood. Write a wish to the temple with an optional donation.

Caroline Deng: My favorite sushi restaurant in the Bay Area. Great rolls, bento boxes, sashimi, and service. Be prepared to wait for at least 20 minutes during peak hours around 6-7 PM.
