- Coaster AddictJuly 26, 2014Carowinds is the only park that spans across and into two different states! We recommend that you ride Nighthawk and Intimidator first thing in the morning to avoid longer lines!
- Kali GirlMay 12, 2017The rides are a thrill, the food is amazing, and the staff is friendly and courteous. If you want to have a great time at an amusement park, this is the place to go.
- Coaster AddictJuly 26, 2014Very solid park! The employees were very helpful, the rides very nice, and the variety of choices great! Plus, no roller coasters here require a locker! You can't beat that!
- Jay BakerAugust 13, 2016Haven't been to Carowinds in a long time. Last time I went it was still owned by Paramount. The new owners from Cedar Point have really dumped a lot of money into the park and maintained it very well.
- Meredith NalleyApril 5, 2013Season passes are the way to go. ..four or more you pay less for a season pass than for one full price ticket. Buy the $12.00 drinks bc you get free refills all day and .99 refills all season
- Jackson KarowAugust 17, 2014Water park is top notch, as are the coasters! Could use a few more flats (though the Scream Weaver is a forever favourite), but all in all an awesome park! Season pass is the way to go, too.
- Wade StinsonOctober 31, 2015It is one of my favorite places go on amusement park rides! The fury and the intimidator are my favorite rides there.
- Rob KnappApril 23, 2013Tired of sweets? The Coca-Cola Oasis, between the Carolina Cyclone and the Hurler, has a selection of fresh fruit. It's good, and the prices aren't super-high.
- Justin MartinNovember 12, 2021Some of the tallest & fastest coasters around. Great variety of rides and good carnival style food (funnel cakes!). Great time for the whole family!
- Lynn Bednar-RandoJuly 9, 2018AAA offers best deals!! All day pass 44.99...water park closes at 8pm...the Fury 325 is awesome..go on overcast day
- Luc StadlerAugust 13, 2015Fury is amazing! I absolutely recommend riding on it before your day at the park is over. Gets the adrenaline pumping! Very fun.
- TIMEAugust 17, 2012Charlotte averages in the 80s in early September, so catch a breeze on the Intimidator, the tallest, fastest, and longest coaster in the Southeast!
- Ares, Jr.June 12, 2022As someone who frequents Disney, not that bad of an experience. Worth the visit, especially if in the Charlotte area. However, I wouldn’t choose this over a Disney trip.
- Eric WallsJune 13, 2019A must for roller coaster fanatics. Do the Fury 325. Tallest, fastest coaster in the country!
- Katlin HaneyAugust 11, 2015Great for all ages with snoopy land and things like the night hawk(favorite) and Fury 325(also favorite)
- Yolanda HamptonNovember 18, 2016Season pass...amusement park combined with a water park...best place for the kids during the summer
- Denise FitzpatrickAugust 8, 2013Pack a cooler with lunch, get your hand stamped and eat in the parking lot. Park food is crazy expensive! Almost $60 to feed Chick Fil A to five of us in the Park, wow!
- Jessi PearsonOctober 12, 2011During late september and all of october, carowinds becomes Scarowinds from 7-12 everynight. They have haunted houses and the all the rides and rollercoasters are open too!
- hJuly 8, 2015Not many healthy options, good idea to eat healthy before arriving, bring a water bottle, and check out harmony hall for sliced fruits and salads
- I love this place to spend the day all the rides are fun!! Initmidator & nighthawk are must rides!! Boomerang bay is also fun.
- Only 4 great coasters and not a lot to do if you don't like coasters. Needs more family rides and shades. It gets way too hot during the summer.
- Sarah HartmanApril 19, 2013Personally, I loved the after burn and the nighthawk. Admission is a little pricey, but if you have a military ID, it's only $30-something.
- I am in love with the Intimidator...so smooth for those that are apprehensive. It is really high...but a great ride. The power hour is cool too They get you off an on the ride so quickly!
- Matt RiceJune 15, 2014Get on the Windseeker first. It gives you a really good view of the park, and helps you see what you want to get on next.
- Jeff EaslerApril 7, 2015Great family amusement park. Lots of good rides, especially the new Fury 325 roller coaster.
- LisaJuly 21, 2012Go when everyone thinks its gonna rain! Few crowds today and the weather is perfect. Cool breezes and plenty of clouds. We couldn't have asked for a better day!!
- Ashley HabelJune 17, 2015We went today (Wednesday) and our average wait time in line was about 10 mins. Some rides we walked right in while they were loading. Also free ice water!!!
- Earl BabcockNovember 14, 2015Any cadar fair park is good. But, Cedar Point is the best over all amusement parks!
- Justin DuffeyJanuary 21, 2014Make sure you get your picture taken even if you know you aren't going to buy it. They have a quota of 85 pics/hour.
- Dana Word IIAugust 16, 2014Get the souvenir cups, they pay for themselves after two drinks. Perfect on a hot day
- Be sure to order the stir-fry or the steak! And enjoy the memory foam mattress!
- SNOOPYOctober 4, 2011Take a photo with any of the PEANUTS gang inside Planet Snoopy and share it @Snoopy on Twitter or
facebook.com/snoopy! - MarionJune 13, 2015The Nighthawk is the most fun, but the Fury 325 is absolutely thrilling. Skip the Cyclone.
- Janice HallMay 6, 2013Look for coupons! $29.99/ea for a family of 3 totally rocked! The After Burn was our favorite!!!
- Wayne CraigApril 26, 2010Before you go, either goto the Bi-Lo up the road in Charlotte on South Tryon ti buy your tix or goto Burger King on Tryon to get a $15 off coupon on Medium or large drinks!
- Dan RoselliNovember 22, 2009If you buy a season pass (which makes since if you go more then once a year), go for the early entry and you can hit all three major coasters before the park is even open. Read more
- Bernice Leak SykesJune 18, 2012Had a good time with family, but park was packed paid in advance for parking online then had to park in gradd miles from enterence :-( waste of $12!
- AshleyySeptember 8, 2012Intimidation and Afterburn along with Night Hawk are worth the money and really awesome !
- Yaw HolmanMarch 30, 2016There should of been a discount. Charging full price for half a park, that was ridiculous. If the Water park isn't available to the public yet don't rob us.
- Karen IngramAugust 3, 2013Stay at the campground for free shuttle & 2day passes to carowinds for only $50. Per person :)
- If an associate asks you to take a survey please do. They have to meet daily quotas and it's only 5 questions.
- Jill CarvilleJuly 8, 2014The lunch prices are unbelievably expensive. We paid 63.09 for 3 slices of pizza, 3 drinks, and a kid's meal.
