- Jenna Odett LaskinFebruary 4, 20171 subway stop on the 7 from Grand Central for NYC's only Michelin💫Mexican. Go for 🌮 (chorizo, 👅 were favorites, skip 🐟 ), and mole is no joke. Tres leches for dessert is good to share 3-4 ways.
- Emily WilsonFebruary 17, 2017Step into Casa Enrique and pretend you're in Mexico City. Start with a margarita (take advantage of their specials), guacamole (order it spicy), and sopecitos de chorizo. Carry on from there.Upvoted 2 weeks ago
- Vanessa MontesAugust 20, 2018For sure try the fish tacos, chicken mole, sopecitos de chorizo, crab tostadas and the tres leches. So good!
- Matthew BreuerJune 30, 2018it’s very good Mexican food but it’s place near the top of lists surprises me - no dishes that stand out remarkably, just everything done very well
- Alex RobertsonSeptember 7, 2018very good guacamole and tacos. lady friend loved it more than I did and it’s as pricey as you’d expect a Michelin starred place to be (but no more?) but the space is nice and the drinks were good too
- Marc SchneebergerSeptember 30, 2017It is said that a Mexican Restaurant has to be rated by its Mole, so this one is exceptional!!! In addition ceviche and guacamole are amazing and prices are fair. Its a must in LIC!
- Rebecca MazzaSeptember 3, 2017The brisket tacos are a winner! Start with guacamole and end with the chocolate pot de creme. The spicy cucumber margarita is one of the best. Well worth the trip from manhattan
- Michael HintzeAugust 13, 2016Amazing mole, top notch tacos, great enchiladas, and excellent margaritas. Michelin rated quality all for a fair price.
- Time Out New YorkAugust 29, 2018Cosme and Luis Aguilar, the chef and GM respectively, pay homage to their late mother with traditional plates, including some based on her recipes, such as chicken mole and cochinito chiapaneco Read more
- Ben FloydJanuary 28, 2017Best Mexican in NYC! Simple home cooking w/ amazing flavours & a lovely environment all at a good price. If you're lucky enough 2 b there when the head chef Cosme is there be sure to chat with him.
- Delicious brunch. cucumber margaritas and michaladas are fantastic. The guacomole is a must and their dipping sauces are great - I had a whole jar of the green sauce with my huevos chorizo. YUMS!!
- Alfric ListJune 8, 2015The mole and the enchiladas were really good , the attention of the waitress was good ! And the music was really nice with a volume reasonable / muy Bueno Buena comida . Atencion y nada caro
- Serious EatsJune 19, 2013A classier neighborhood spot compared to most New York Mexican restaurants, with slightly upscale takes on home-style Mexican dishes. Go for the rajas con crema and the stewed pork ribs.
- M KJune 23, 2015Real authentic Mexican, great food, great drinks and staff were lovely. Enchiladas and Tacos were great, very reasonably priced. Try the Margarita Daiquiri!
- KEOctober 25, 2016Great service, charming space, busy even on a Monday! The margaritas, enchiladas with green sauce & chocolate pot de creme were heavenly. Dishes are on the small side for sharing but tasty! Go here!
- Ray LinApril 25, 2014Holy guacamole! Seriously, the guac is delicious (get it spicy). Totally reasonable prices, especially if you go splitty-splitty on the tacos with someone.
- AmateurConciergeMay 28, 2016Some of the best Mexican in the boroughs. Reasonably priced for being so fancified as well. All tacos ruled, as did the entrees (mole). Guac actually might've been a low light
- John BurkeAugust 30, 2015Finally tried this place after walking by for over a year. It's amazing! The drinks are great, house made guac is delicious and the entrees are awesome. Worth the wait.
- jiresellJune 7, 2017Get all the variety of tacos they make and share them with the table! They are great. But be sure to get the chicken mole, it is outstanding! Tres Leches to finish!
- Leemor YuravlivkerDecember 18, 2017Don’t miss the guac, vegetarian enchiladas, and mole. If you get dessert, do tres leches.
- Tim MulcroneMarch 19, 2016Amazing authentic, no frills Mexican food like my BFF's abuela used to make. Highly recommend the spicy guac, delicious mole chicken, Chipotle meatballs and pastor tacos.
- Mole is super good, tacos are always on point with Chorizo and Lengua. Skirt steak, red snapper - can't go wrong. Wash it down with agua con chile or a sangria. #winwinwin
- Berk KapiciogluSeptember 26, 2015I had the huevos con chorizo for brunch and it was delicious. A Michelin rated Mexican restaurant with cute decor.
- Safraz AliSeptember 15, 2013Mojitos are awesome!!! The mole was as authentic as my aunts!! As was the lamb!! Took me back to my childhood! Will totally be back. And their rice!! Soooo good!! Flavor in everything!! Yummmm
- Cary LawsonAugust 4, 2017Everything was delicious - guac, classic margarita, enchiladas verdes and tres leches cake. Mole excellent, too!
- Chad HornerAugust 15, 2017one of the most accessible michelin-starred restaurants in New York, and the only one featuring Mexican cuisine. the chicken mole is the signature dish
- Robert LeeNovember 25, 2013We shared the lamb shank and the chicken mole - both flavorful and incredible. The aguachile Margarita had a nice little kick! Nice find!
- Some of the best salsas I've EVER had. Go splitsies with someone on tacos al pastor and the mesquite chicken tacos. Slather with the aforementioned salsa. Wash down with 2-3 delicious margs.
- Zev Levit-RamosMay 31, 2016The meatballs (albundigas) were delicious. Also, the enchiladas are fantastic. Anything with Mole will delight.
- Altius EnterprisesSeptember 29, 2013All their food is super tasty, but their chicken tacos are really great and they have some very interesting flavored margaritas that are all made with fresh, house-made ingredients.
- Victoria HanMay 14, 2016Tacos are delicious! However, it can get a little loud so if you can wait, asking for a table in their pretty garden /back area might be worth it for the atmosphere.
- Kathleen VargasJune 27, 2016Great ambiance with good food. Love their pozole and their tostada with crab. Also try their blueberry mojito.
- This is not sloppy burrito Mexican. This is family recipes, lovingly made by a native chef trained in French cooking. Balanced flavors, complex mole, love the sopes. Very close to 7 Train too.
- Kristen PayneAugust 9, 2014This is a happening spot and the food is delicious! Also our waitress was lovely, wish I remembered her name. I got the enchiladas with both sauce options... Yum
- Matthew BreuerNovember 24, 2017It’s all very good, but after ordering almost the entire menu, there are other places in the city that do any given dish better, and it’s not much of an experience.
- William NelliganNovember 13, 2015Lovely room, attentive staff, phenomenal food. Don't miss the molé. But you can't go wrong.
- One of the best Mexican joints not just LIC but NYC. On point margaritas, tacos, and entrees.
- Julie SosciaJanuary 13, 2019Great vibe, delicious Mexican dishes and cocktail specials! Try anything served on the menu with mole. The guac is really tasty as well.
- CompassMay 15, 2014Mexican street food snacks and gourmet Latin fusion dishes cross paths on the menu at this cozy bleached wood-tabled brunch and dinner favorite.
- Rebecca GishkarianyFebruary 15, 2016Try the cow tongue tacos. I know, sounds sketchy, but it's delicious & tastes like beef cheeks. Also the tres leches cake and flan are worth saving room for dessert.
- Janelle GreeneFebruary 18, 2017Girl. Live your very best life and get the guacamole. You don't even need to order anything else and every other chops and guac will taste like sandpaper after this, promise.
- Jesse HorsleyOctober 18, 2017One of the best margaritas I have had! Their salsa and mole are killer. Ceviche, beet salad, and guacamole are only decent
- Dave KleinAugust 10, 2016Best ceviche I've ever had. Mole enchiladas were excellent. Cocktails were well mixed. Pricey but absolutely worth every penny.
- Gajtana SimonovskaAugust 23, 2015Worth the visit. Among the best Mexican ever. Not your cheap Mexican, but not expensive either. Special place- looking forward to returning.
