- Beach PaceJuly 24, 2014For vegans/veggies there is a salad place in Concourse B ( I think) called Salad Sprigs. You can get a VERY hearty salad there. I do not recommend the "asian dressing" its way too sweet.
- Bring a snack and a drink while you wait for your checked bags.

- The best thing about Midway was great access to the rental cars. Not anymore, they moved them off site and what once took 5 minutes now takes 45. But they're glad you're here. Fail Midway Fail.
- Daune RobinsonOctober 18, 2013Taxi fare will cost about $30 on way to a downtown hotel. If you have a little time, you can get a $25 ticket on Airport Express shuttle ($48 round trip).
- Take a seat in Concourse C by Hudson News to eavesdrop on the latest airport gossip/drama. Cash register ladies like to talk LOUD!
- Pegsus on the fly have a wonderful sausage wrap with cooked onion inside. Good enough to eat on each leg of the trip.
- Choose this airport over ORD every time. Smaller, no constant gate changes, and you can walk straight to car rental!

- Lady GoodnewsJuly 15, 2013One of the rare airports these days with a USPS mailbox to drop letters inside the security gate in terminal. Next to Let them eat cake in terminal C.
- Baggage claim sucks here and is the only problem I see with this airport. Even though bags are free with Southwest, if you are in a hurry, carry it on!
- Busy spot. Only 9.2 miles from downtown Chicago. Just a short ride on the Orange Line "L" Train
- Charles RobertsMarch 18, 2014Be careful booking early flights if you plan to take CTA as orange line train from city may not be running yet.
- If you're traveling during holidays, line to check baggage is >100 people & you, like me, cut timing way too close, check baggage outside. 1/5 wait time. They work for tip but I made my flight for $5.
- Always get here early, there's always a huge security line and nothing is organized!
- Pegasus Gyro Sandwich is a must do when flying out of Midway at lunch or dinner time!
- Paul SauerMay 11, 2018They were very busy and the facility staff was visible; cleaning waiting area seats as they could. There were plenty of garbage cans; some people were not using them.
- Far right line is if you have 1 personal carry on - much shorter and moves fast. Check your bag and bypass the masses.

- Stay to the left at security. Moves fast, extra lanes often open up!
- Love the convenience of Midway. Less hassle and easy to get to via CTA.

- Security was quick. Instructions were clear at southwest as always.
- Ask for your bun toasted at Gild Coast Dogs and then get a beer at Lalos Mexican....yummmm!!

- If flying SWA, get there early. TSA moves fairly quick unless you have something to be inspected. Uh oh...

- There's food and beverage in baggage claim so you can grab a drink while you wait on your bags!
- Watch the security lanes before you commit to one. The middle and outer lanes usually go overlooked so they're the fastest.

- The Dunkin Donuts kiosk in the food court has stale glazed donuts! I arrived early before 4am.

- SamsoniteMay 3, 2011Have a rockin' time at Chicago Midway! Check out the row of 40 rocking chairs to relax in and a Blue Brothers exhibit in the House of Blues restaurant.
- Don't go to the right most line when they check your id and boarding pass (right before the security check). You'll be waiting for wheel chairs and it will take twice as long.
- Great selection of food from ben & jerks to salad restaurant Chicago corned beef , hot dogs Greek food
- Sign up for wifi through your cell phone. MDW seems to not have a free wifi (except a southwest connection you need an access code for that I couldn't figure out how to determine a code as a southwest
