- Sarah ColvinApril 30, 2012Going alone? Sit at the bar. Going with friends? Grab a table. It's all good and it's all worthy. One of the best known jam sessions and open mics anywhere. Best of all: no cover + $10 Minimum.
- Jonathan BalsanoAugust 12, 2014The jazz is great but the food isn't exceptional like everyone says. However for a cool late summer evening the atmosphere is perfect and there's no cover so it's hard to complain
- DamlaJanuary 31, 2019I’d give poor ratings for the food but the live jazz ❤️❤️we’re there for the jam sessions which was amazing. Very good for the music and a drink!
- Food NetworkAugust 5, 2011Rachael Ray makes her way to Cleopatra's Needle, on the Upper West Side in New York, NY, for a Mediterranean meal and live jazz, on Food Network's $40 a Day. Find more tips at FN Local. Read more
- Ari PeñaAugust 9, 2011Fantastic place for dinner, drinks, and jazz. Great happy hour til 730. Get the French, wild passion, or Bellini martinis, and the kofta kebab is excellent.
- Sarah WalkerOctober 2, 2013Great vibe and primo live music, but don't come if you're looking for a quality feed. You'll get a tastier shish kebab from a street vendor.
- Nicole HeringJune 2, 2013Come for the music, stay for...nothing else. Cleo's attracts some amazing talent but unfortunately the same can't be said for the kitchen and bar.
- Leo GomezJanuary 9, 2016Love the Pasta al Pesto, too bad they don't serve it with pine nuts as they used to do.
- Anja StrajnarOctober 13, 2013Cozy place, great band. The food is a bit pricey but hey, you get music for free!
- Brooke SkinnerOctober 2, 2013Super cute restaurant with great atmosphere, but we were charged for soda refills. Since when is that a thing, Cleopatra?!
- Mistina PiccianoJanuary 29, 2010Delicious, reasonably priced food and great live jazz. The evening jam sessions rock! Martinis are so-so, but it's a terrific value in an intimate setting. (We hate the downtown crowds.) Read more
- Thrisha A.April 14, 2014A bit of a mature (think senior citizens who seem to be the regulars) crowd on Sundays with visitors but half priced drinks make for a good afternoon.
- I was there last night and now today there’s a sign on it and the windows papered up and it looks like it’s permanently closed :( WTH?
- Sabrina MartinJuly 10, 2011Clearly chatting quietly in a restaurant is frowned upon by bitchy old women who think their karaoke-esque singing is real jazz.
- It bothers me how the bathrooms and the kichen r so close. The food comes past the toilet on the way to your table. Great music lousy food and presentation. Just drink alot
- TV Food MapsAugust 26, 2014Check out Cleopatra's Needle as seen on Rachael Ray - $40 a Day Read more
- J FaustApril 10, 2011The music here ranges from good to amazing. But the service whether at the bar or at a table is consistently slow when it's anything but empty
- Melanie CoffeeMarch 11, 2010Happy hour is great. A glass of blanc de blanc and a blue moon for 10.50.
