Like buying a gremlin, the Stamina Soba comes with a specific set of instructions written on an index card. If you follow it correctly, you'll be rewarded with one of the best noodle dishes in NYC

So good, yet somehow remains under the radar. The Mera Mera Dip Soba is easily my favorite & it's made even better when they bring out a teapot of Soba Yu to water it down to drink. WinstonWanders.com

Best soba I've ever had. They also give you a little flame to keep your broth hot, and when you make a soup at the end everything is warm and delicious.

It's a very small restaurant that seats about 20 people at most, so get there early (~5-10 min before open) if it's a busy day. If it's your first time, get the dipping stamina soba, delicious!

It's a small Japanese restaurant with a lot of healthy options! For someone who is not tried soba noodles before go for warm soba. Warm Japanese style soba with chicken and Mochi ice cream were yumm!

Big fan of the Cold Sansai (veggie) Soba on a hot summer night. Definitely get an assortment of cold veggie/seaweed starters as well.

Perfect, healthy, lunch. Handmade soba noodles served cold or hot. Tiny place with a bar and a couple of tables, hard to get in for dinner but usually easy for lunch. Small menu of appetz, a bargain.

Sansai Soba is a great veggie pick! Once you're done you can request hot water to dilute the broth and drink it up! A small cup of tea is served post meal as well :)

I dream of the day I can walk in, sit down, and order at Cocoron without a 40 minute wait. The kind of place I would have loved to keep a secret, soba speaks to my soul, and they do it right.

My go-to here is the stamina soba, dip or soup. For spice, try the Pork Kimchee Dip. Ps. Love the Yammi Q and daikon mochi.

Pork curry soba is the jam. Still have dreams about it. Also, if you're into a creamy dessert, the tofu dessert is surprisingly decadent and delicious
