- Champignons Farcis, Spanish Tortilla, Salmon Carpaccio, any cocotte dish, and the lemon tart for dessert. Wines by glass, carafe of bottle. Top off with cappuccino or espresso at the end.
- BellaVitaStyle .comFebruary 11, 2018If you’re going for brunch try the french toast. It’s probably the best I’ve ever had. Great eggs and chorizo (BEC). Very attentive and friendly staff.
- Ernesto GutierrezAugust 12, 2017Dishes are all tapas style: small, over priced and delicious. Try the moules gratinees, mushroom appetizer and the hangar steak. They also know what they are doing with the cocktails.
- Cyril S.April 15, 2019Came for brunch, tried the poached norwegian eggs, the salmon goat toast, the piperade and the pancakes, all was great!
- ChaimDecember 17, 2013One of my favorite places in NYC. Rafael is a true master of FOH service, and Sébastien's food is certainly among the best in NYC. The carrots and the piperade are highlights.
- Brioche French Toast is uniquely done here! (Ask if available). The Cocotte Burger is pleasant for brunch - perfect size, perfect flavors. Eggs in a cocotte are great as well!
- ChavelliOctober 12, 2015If you're there for brunch get the amazing jamon and cheese sandwich . Simple, high quality ingredients make for one of my all time fave sandwiches.
- If you like mushrooms, try Te champignons farçis -- has chorizo! Also the cocottes (casserole dishes) are excellent! Great selection of wines too. Don't forget to say hello to Rafael! :)
- Jonathon KirkAugust 31, 2014Thrilled to discover this petite gem. Perfect date spot offering delightful service paired with a mouthwatering menu.
- DensSeptember 4, 2014Awesome intimate spot for tapas -- French tapas, btw (is that even a thing?). Take a date here, drink lots of wine. Everything was great.
- Jeffrey GlueckAugust 30, 2014Nice atmosphere, Not too loud, great tables for two or 6 to have a conversation. Love that they will pour 3 sample wines before you pick a bottle.
- Ru LuJanuary 7, 2015Went back there again with my date. I normally find most French food a bit too dense for my taste, but this place balance the menu and the wine selection well. And yes, Rafael is the man.
- Basile ViaultAugust 30, 2013It was unexpected (because finding a good french restaurant in New York is an hard work). Anyway, my girlfriend and I spend a wonderful time in Cocotte. We re-discover France here.
- Stephanie HSeptember 19, 2019Co-cuuute-- cozy French/Spanish/Basque bistro for vino & conversation. Do you know the two definitions of "cocotte"?! ;)
- Atelier MinyonNovember 14, 2012Cocotte is an amazing little find. Quaint and romantic with crisp wines and small bites bursting with flavor. Day dreaming of their stuffed mushrooms as I type... mmm
- Andy ChapmanNovember 17, 2015Cozy little place, the food is great but oh my expensive for the portion size. Try the Charcuterie plate and if scallops are on the menu, get them.
- Zviad MetreveliSeptember 6, 2019Nice place, pretty tiny but has good atmosphere. Dinner was good but not amazing especially for its price range. Haven't tried tapas, they might be a better deal compared to the regular dinner.
- ChavelliOctober 23, 2013Cauliflower is yummmm! As are their other dishes. The staff are all super friendly and knowledgeable, make the place warm and inviting.
- Roula HannaSeptember 6, 2015Neighbourhood gem. Everything I had was delicious. The service is excellent. Great for first dates.
- Ru LuOctober 9, 2014Wow. The waiters were so personable and efficient. Small place but everyone was so chill and awesome that it didn't feel small.
- Berk KapiciogluFebruary 19, 2016It's in the basement and right next to the building heaters, so it's hot as hell. Other than that, it's cute and intimate. Celery soup is delicious.
- Octopus carpaccio is delightful! Sandwiches are great too.
- Jorge LanaApril 27, 2014We loved the Rioja - Ramirez de la Piscina 2009 (red wine), chow flower and the boeuf! Delicious!
- To start, order a glass of the Charles Lafitte sparkling wine. You'll be glad I told you. 😎
- James CroninMarch 3, 2015Surprised this place isn't rated higher. Fantastic food and the staff were great.
- The Taste SheriffNovember 8, 2014What's good here? Everything! It doesn't get any better. *for parties under 6 people*
- OlfaAugust 23, 2015Very French but very good... Their French toasts are to die for... Will go back for sure
- Peter VermeulenMay 5, 2014Charming vibrant place - take whatever Rafael recommends - the brioche French toast was excellent
- Casey SchoonoverJanuary 21, 2015Pork cheeks and stuffed mushrooms were both good but not amazing. Pork cheeks were a little one note. Needed some kind of veggie to cut the fat other than potatoes.
- Christine HartMay 14, 2013The mushrooms were great as was the brandade! Rafael makes the place charming and inviting.
- If you are a cauliflower fan, try the choux fleurs! You will be impressed.
