- Time Out New YorkAugust 7, 2013The burger here is a behemoth; a half-pound of broiled New England beef (sirloin, chuck & top round) is piled high with American cheese, tomato, iceberg lettuce & deep-fried ruffles of bacon. (RC) Read more
- George MaierOctober 27, 2016Best burger in the city..really! Time Out New York used to have a burger food category called "best burger in NYC that it is not the Corner Bistro". It's cheap & charming in a vintage meets dive bar
- Chad HornerFebruary 16, 2016the bistro burger offers great value (less than $10), but isn't going to knock your socks off. the best thing about this place is the retro vibe, especially the awesome neon sign out front
- Damian BayonaJanuary 12, 2016One of NYC's classic burgers, simple and delicious with an unassuming ambience. Great for a date or a burger break with the boys. Expect long lines on weekend nights.
- Salih Seckin SevincNovember 30, 2016Ordered a cheeseburger first. Had my chubby burger meatball exactly as I want: Medium Rare😊Be aware that you are eating at 1 of the top 5 burger places of Manhattan. Simple, easy and local.
- Andreas KanakisJanuary 25, 2018I think if I had to stay just one night in NYC and leave early next morning, I would go and have a burger in Corner Bistro.
- Halstead PropertyOctober 7, 2013Keeping it simple and ordering the Bistro Burger – we fell in love with the juiciness of the large burger and the way the crispy, thick bacon and melted American cheese complimented it impeccably.
- Josiah David ChapmanJune 1, 2015Perfect aesthetic. From the red neon sign at the iconic West Village street corner, to the simply classy dining room and bar, the bistro doesn't disappoint. The classic burger is a must have.
- Jennie D.February 20, 2015One of the best burgers in the city and so cheap. A burger and a beer for under $15 just can't be beat. P.S. order the chili cheese fries
- Ray LinJune 30, 2015Bistro Burger, fries and a McSorley's beer (light or dark) is one of the best dining trifectas in all of NYC. Personally, I think it's the best burger in Manhattan.
- Bistro burger -- a bacon cheese burger and then some -- is the best <$10 burger in the city.
- CompassJuly 24, 2013Come to this old-timey bar and restaurant for the Bistro Burger: a mess of meat, cheese, and bacon that can’t be beat. Cheap mugs of beer, and old school New York charm make this place a classic.
- George MaierOctober 27, 2016Plan to wait in line & have a couple of beers before sitting down to one of the best pieces of meat you'll ever put in your mouth! Get your mind out of the gutter..Enjoy this vintage dive awesomeness!
- Great burger and fries to-go. Put your order in and grab a McSorley's while you wait ($3!)
- Adrian PhillipsFebruary 2, 2016Full bar with cheap drinks, massive hamburgers ( < $10) and fries. It's great value and cash only (ATM inside if you forgot cash). A "Bistroburger" is a cheeseburger with bacon.
- Tom HalleranMay 17, 2015No frills, just a juicy burger, solid fries, and plenty of McSorley's. Lines get long starting at dinner, but lunch is a breeze. The earlier the better if you're planning dinner.
- David BrahlerSeptember 7, 2015I love how opinionated the menu is--burger, cheeseburger, bacon cheeseburger, chili cheeseburger, grilled cheese, chili.
- New York HabitatOctober 25, 2011In the lovely West Village you can get a burger and a beer for just over 10 bucks, a steal for the quality! Add in the fact that it's 24 hours and you've got a perfect spot for lunch or late night!
- Ana CaiadoAugust 30, 2015Bistro Burger is one if the things not to be missed while in nyc. Go during the day to avoid the crowd ;) Amazing burger, nice atmosphere, great value!
- Alyssa B.November 9, 2019Perhaps the best cheeseburger for its price point. No nonsense place, cash only.
- OkCupid Daters' ChoiceJuly 13, 2017Corner Bistro was voted the Best Dime Saver Date Spot by OkCupid users in the first-ever Daters' Choice Awards! Tap Read more for additional date spot categories in New York City. #daterschoice Read more
- AmateurConciergeOctober 31, 2014Bistro burger is indeed one of the best in the city: bacon is flavorful and it's amazing that a patty this thick can be juicy, flavorful and not at all gross
- Elizabeth BursteinNovember 7, 2019Got the hamburger and apple cider mimosa. Great quick bite spot and cozy winter vibe.
- Curtis ShoungJanuary 31, 2015Just do as. Bistro burger is a solid $10 burger. Fat burger, cheese, pickle, bacon, lettuce, tomato. Oh and there's chili cheese fries not on the menu for $7
- Chase BurnettSeptember 2, 2013Top 3 best burgers of my life. Bistro burger rocked. Cool atmosphere too.. its easy to see why this place gets visited by great chefs and network food shows.
- Jessica StarkSeptember 25, 2012Great burger but definitely not top 5. Plus: decided to add bacon to this burger and it was actually crispy (without even asking)!!! Pet peeve is raw-ish bacon on a burger (or anything really).
- Udi RubinJuly 8, 2014No doubt, this place serves one of the best burgers in the city. Together with good music (From a jukebox) and good beer, this is a winner.
- Elliot WehnerJanuary 11, 2015Bistro burger, fries, and a McSorley Dark. Ultimate combo meal. Affordable prices as well
- Brian McGAugust 17, 2022Casual spot with solid burgers. Good for some beers and eventually dinner. Cash only.
- Leah HammerschlagJanuary 9, 2015Perhaps my fave cheap no frills burg. Massive & under $10! Med-rare is perfect and not too rare. Honestly, doesn't even need the cheese.
- Very good burgers, but super thick patty. You'll have to wait, which is annoying. Maybe the cheapest beer in the city, so its decent to just grab a drink at the bar if it isn't peak hours.
- Alexandra LevitasApril 22, 2017Not the best beer selection, but truly solid and well priced burgers! You can get a burger and a drink for under $15! Just remember it's cash only.
- Brian SmocovichJanuary 10, 2019The burger club reviews this burger as an overall 6.8. Solid meat and condiments, bun brought down the score a bit.
- Bob DiamondJuly 17, 2011Still the best burger in Town and maybe anywhere. A blue moon or Mc Sorleys goes great!!!....Come hungry, but don't come late....YOU WILL HAVE A LONG LINE!!!
- SolJanuary 2, 2019Burgers are too big for the bun (in a good way) and juicy on the inside. The fries are really underwhelming, but after a few McSorely’s you can’t fault them for undercooking potatoes.
- Zagat ranks this pretty consistently as the top burger in NY. Its got a cool NY vibe to it and the burger is great, even if I wouldnt rank it #1.
- Brad WillardJuly 30, 2019A New York icon. Amazing when it's good. Average when it's bad. Beer selection hasn't changed much in 15 years in a boring way.
- The Corcoran GroupAugust 2, 2011Grab a Bistro Burger, fries and a beer. The menu is simple yet wonderful and delicious. If you’re going for lunch, grab a seat at the bar, otherwise, you’ll wait, because seating is limited.
- MattAugust 17, 2012I live in ATL and orig from NJ; been here many times when I live here!! Burgers are da bomb!! All we have here are 5 guys (yum) and The vorteX(yum)
- Men's Health MagNovember 10, 2011Order the bistro burger—it can kill you if it so desires. Wash it down with dirt-cheap beer from the tap. You’ll want to sit near the front, at the giant windows, to watch passersby drool as you chew.
- Cap'n SlippMay 28, 2014They've certainly come a long way from their “best burger” and “cheap bite” accolades. Now (2014) it's more like “good burger” and “rather expensive considering the small portions”. Well done, guys.
- Drew FreyApril 12, 2013The menu is famously short – a plain 9oz hamburger ($5.75), or one with cheese ($6), or bacon and cheese ($6.75). Burgers are charboiled and served on a paper plate. You're welcome.
- Unbelievable burger and very affordable. There's usually a wait to get seated, but no worries, order a beer at the bar while you wait in line.
