Nice museum to check out if you run out of things to do in Sacramento. Much bigger than it looks from the outside. Most of the stuff is on the 3rd floor. You can easily spend a couple hours here.

I used to go here all the time before they expanded it but I've only been there once since and it's so huge now that I'll definitely have to go back to see it all!!

I was really impressed with the Crocker. It can really hold it's own with places like the MOMA and DeYoung. Huge! Great collection of California art. Will be returning.

The Crocker expanded a few years ago and has even more great local art and history inside. A must for anyone in or visiting Sacramento

The building itself is quite a beautiful work of art, and the museum includes a fine collection by German painters as well. Not to be missed!

Did you know? Designed as a mansion and gallery for the Crocker family and their art collection, the gallery building also originally included a bowling alley, skating rink and billiards room. Read more

If there is not a scheduled guided tour, grab a docent and ask for it. They are volunteers and more than happy to show you around.

The newly expanded Crocker has the best collection of modern and contemporary ceramics I've seen anywhere -- check out the collection.

If you plan on bringing a backpack make sure to bring 50 cents to store it in a locker. No backpacks allowed in the museum.
