This used to be a dump...now it is a top kayaking spot and a playground?? After the cancer studies I've done for my Masters degree, I may suggest not taking the kiddies here...

Do not park in spaces for the apartment complex/express bus stop across the street! NYPD will tow you! Use parking lot inside gates and utilize same side street parking if available.
$5 fridays are the best value. Get there early cause they started turning people away b/c of lack of rental equipment. The only thing i didnt like was the fact that the rental equipment wasnt cleaned.
