Chef Daniel Boulud’s pub-like restaurant also features a great “by the glass” wine selection. – Chef Robert Irvine, Worst Cooks in America/Restaurant Impossible
Go for brunch and add a couple eggs to your favorite sausage (I like the Viennoise, with baked-in cheese, like a high-end FrankenStuff). And try the Beery Mary.
This place is by no means affordable or fast-food. But on a special occasion, come blow $19 on their 'Piggie Burger' with Daisy May's pulled pork. It's not worth $19, but god damn is it a good burger.
Go to DBGB for the meat. Stay for the beer. Ask for the Berliner Weisse. Finish up with a trip across Houston to Whole Foods' beer section for continued carousing at home.
DBGB cranks all week and for good reason. Ordered the Paleron Carbonnade (flat iron steak braised in dark beer). Never had anything quite like it before.
Ask for Simon @ the bar, he will make you an incredible cocktail (& say nice things in his French accent). We created Death Eve (a cocktail w/ absinthe). Give it a go.
Amazing atmosphere and always happening regardless of what day it is... Great for seafood, sausages, and great hamburgers from award winning chef Daniel Boulud
