- Kate JonesOctober 9, 2015Wonderful variety of exhibits. Interactive and static exhibits entertain all ages. Well worth price of admission. I had a blast. They also have a café!
- Jeff MartindaleNovember 8, 2015Great exhibits of many different animals, space exploration, gems & minerals, rotating special exhibits. IMAX theatre is always cool to do. MUST DO observation deck! Parking 👎🏼
- I have been to many museums across the US, and this is one of the best. There are so many hands on activities for the kids. As an adult I love it too! The dinosaur exhibit is one of the best.
- EllieFebruary 26, 2016Such a great museum! Passionate and knowledgeable volunteers, and fantastic exhibits. Dinosaurs! Gems and minerals! Planetarium! And did I mention dinosaurs?
- Steven HobbsonJune 23, 2015There are always wonderful, well done exhibits and so many special events to take advantage of. Living nearby makes this a go-to when looking for a fun place to get my brain thinking.
- The Ritz-CarltonApril 9, 2013Dinosaurs, wildlife & mummies - oh my! There's something for everyone at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. Don't miss an IMAX movie, the planetarium or the Prehistoric Journey.
- eric bornemannJanuary 29, 2023Wonderful science museum that you can easily spend the whole day at. Kids love the space section where they can pretend to fly a space ship.
- Anthony DuranJune 16, 2016Got to love the human body and health exhibit and getting to learn about yourself along with things you might've not know before. A great place to spend a day and learn :)
- So many fun exhibits for kids of all ages. Hit the space exhibit early as it gets crowded later in the day.
- NatalieNovember 10, 2015Dinosaurs, mummies, a planetarium, and so much more. Set aside an entire day to come here and explore!
- Joey HalliganMay 11, 2015Always a good time at this museum. Current temporary exhibit is Mythic Creatures, definitely a must-see!
- Franco CalizNovember 9, 2014Good place for a quick trip. Check to see what the visiting exhibit is. The different climate areas are disappointing -- just some stuffed animals. Their IMAX shows are generally very good.
- Stacy Bo BacySeptember 20, 2018The Coors gem and minerals exhibit & planetarium are the best I’ve experienced, anywhere, hands down.
- Move 2 Denver Real EstateJune 5, 2014The Mayans were fascinating: they monitored the sky every night and via extensive record keeping were able to predict astronomical phenomena because they kept perfect records for hundreds of years.
- Neal WolffDecember 2, 2017Excellent space exhibit. Lots to explore. Good display on mining in Colorado. Friendly staff and a nice location, next to the zoo.
- Elf’s quest is fun with 9 year-olds for sure. There are only 11 out of 12 hints, so we spotted only 11. Ask for the hints paper at the Information desk.
- Rowan QuirkJuly 17, 2015This is a fun family place with lots of diverse exhibits. A little too loud and overstimulation for me, but it seems like a great place to take the kids.
- Get Outdoors COJune 5, 2013Celebrate National Get Outdoors Day with DMNS on Saturday, June 8th, right outside at City Park! Learn more about YOUR human body and try out dozens of outdoor activities for the whole family. 9am-4pm Read more
- Irina R.April 8, 2013IMAX and Planetarium are super cool! If you plan to go to the Museum more than 2 times a year, buy annual membership. It's well worth it!
- Beautiful views of City Park and Cityscape. New edition is stunning. IMAX is super and the museum itself never disappoints.
- Laura WeissDecember 26, 2014Check out the Konovalenko gem carvings and the amazing view of downtown from the sky terrace!
- Chris RJune 21, 2019Feed the sabertooth cat! Great exhibits - especially if you’re planning to be in the area for recreation and hiking.
- Linda NguyenAugust 8Really enjoyed the museum especially the poison exhibit that’s currently in Denver. Very kind workers.
- Tara AndersonMarch 29, 2015Did you know that Dr. Scott the paleontologist from Dinosaur Train works here?!! Call ahead and schedule a meet -n- greet!! Super nice guy!!
- ColoradoJanuary 23, 2012Also located in City Park, you’ll see enormous dinosaur skeletons, including tyrannosaurus rex, triceratops and stegosaurus; you can also spy on paleontologists preparing fossils for display.
- K12 IncJune 28, 2011Did you know? The museum began in 1868 in the log cabin of Edwin Carter, a pioneer and naturalist who amassed a large collection of Colorado birds and mammals, and displayed them in his home.
- Sierra Lewis-SweedDecember 30, 2016If you go for a 5pm IMAX on a weekday you don't have to pay museum admission! I saw "Wild Africa", AMAZING!
- Mayor HeidiTown.comOctober 28, 2013I love the DMNS! I could live in this museum. One of the best science & nature museums in the country!
- Hannah AlkadiJuly 21, 2021Skilled artistry and craftsmanship behind each display. Learned so much about our incredible planet.
- H DeeMarch 11, 2016The exhibits are great except for the fact that there are a ton of little kids screaming running around and no parents are taking care of them.
- Jackie FlyntMarch 16, 2013Before seeing the Mammoths and Mastodons exhibit (thru May 27), watch http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/earth/ice-age-death-trap.html for background on the highlighted Snowmass Village excavation fossils
- SafetyWebDecember 22, 2010Fun for the family! Consider “checking in” at a location as you are leaving, rather than upon arrival, to minimize the chance of an unwanted encounter with someone unknown.
- Chelsea HartAugust 7, 2014Wonderful museum! Make sure to check out the IMAX and any special displays they have!
- Anton KrasikovFebruary 21, 2016Really cool place with lots of good things to see! Suitable for all ages.
- Rex PrescottJune 25, 2018This place was awesome. Spent nearly the whole day there and didn’t see it all.
- Taylor HolmesAugust 11, 2018If you stay past close, make sure you keep your dinosaur repellent handy.
- Jackie WestsideJune 20, 2022Target audience is definitely a younger audience although adults can still enjoy
- HeatherAugust 18, 2012Don't take your little kids if they're under the age of 5 or 6. You won't get to enjoy anything, they won't understand anything, and they'll get in everyone else's way
- KelliOctober 14, 2012They have several free days a year so check the calendar! It is. Really busy these days but hey it's free!
- Kevin CampbellDecember 8, 2015Always brings a smile to my face to walk in and see the Trex in front.
