I have been to many museums across the US, and this is one of the best. There are so many hands on activities for the kids. As an adult I love it too! The dinosaur exhibit is one of the best.

Good place for a quick trip. Check to see what the visiting exhibit is. The different climate areas are disappointing -- just some stuffed animals. Their IMAX shows are generally very good.

The Mayans were fascinating: they monitored the sky every night and via extensive record keeping were able to predict astronomical phenomena because they kept perfect records for hundreds of years.

Elf’s quest is fun with 9 year-olds for sure. There are only 11 out of 12 hints, so we spotted only 11. Ask for the hints paper at the Information desk.

Also located in City Park, you’ll see enormous dinosaur skeletons, including tyrannosaurus rex, triceratops and stegosaurus; you can also spy on paleontologists preparing fossils for display.

Don't take your little kids if they're under the age of 5 or 6. You won't get to enjoy anything, they won't understand anything, and they'll get in everyone else's way
