The DePaul Center originally was a Rothschild department store, then a Goldblatt's department store. DePaul earned an Award for Excellence in Rehabilitation for remodeling it, completed in 1993.
The Frank J. Lewis Foundation gave the Kimball Building to DePaul in 1955.
In 1980 DePaul dedicated the Finchley Building as Comerford J. O'Malley Place in honor of the Vincentian philosophy professor, dean of the College of Commerce, president and chancellor.
Did you know that the civic group Friends of Downtown gave DePaul an award in 2011 for its renovation of this building, formerly called the Lytton Building?
DePaul bought the 10-story Lyon & Healy Building in 1981. It was originally called the Administration Center.
DePaul purchased the Blackstone Theatre in 1988. It was renamed the Merle Reskin Theatre in 1992 following a $2 million gift from Harold Reskin in honor of his wife, Merle, a former actress.
