- Adam StallmanApril 10, 2017Really good beer and some cool stuff at the gift shop. They have a smaller menu the some of the other breweries and it's a little expensive but food is very good. It's usually crowed on the weekends.
- Eric LepireApril 22, 2015Great brews, crazy good pretzels, gooey mac n cheese and friendly staff. Place is very cool for a quick lunch or a lingering dinner. Deschutes represents the best of Portland.
- Eric SchraderDecember 28, 2015Family/friends from out of town? Must show off. Go early. Bar, PNW vibe. Go-tos: Wings, meaty and tangy; Black Butte, Twilight, Jubelale, MP. Bring growlers for filling. Specialty reserves on tap!
- Shawn CrawfordOctober 25, 2015I ate the Quinoa burger with added jalapeño pesto and a side of French fries coupled with a glass of a tasty Deschutes IPA. Very good and delicious. You can't go wrong with pesto on a veggie burger!
- Jasmine RaShaeDecember 27, 2014Great beer selection! Try the classic sampler. The pretzels w/ the cheese = spectacular.. The chilli was phenomenal. Portions are huge so you should order it family style to share.
- Vinny La BarberaOctober 2, 2016Fresh Squeezed is one of my favorite IPAs so I was already excited for this place. Then I had the food (pork wings and elk burger) and it quickly became one of my favorites spots in Portland.
- Connie ChiuDecember 28, 2017Great porter and stout selections. The pretzel comes with this amazing chorizo cheese dip 😋 it gets really crowded and doesn’t really have a lot of open seating like most breweries I’m use to.
- Amy LeighNovember 6, 2017Lots of great beer selections. Gets a little loud. Busy on weekends. Large TV to watch sports. Food good. Try garlic fries! GF bread very good, soft.
- Jada SApril 9, 2022for being #1 in Mac & cheese in Portland, it falls short. a bit over salted and there isn't much to the fried chicken. their saving grace is the beer selection, especially the Planete Plum
- Mehul KarApril 14, 2016The quinoa burger was delicious. Would eat again. It was a gamble because I'm not vegetarian, but I would pick it over regular burger again. To be fair, I had The Hypocrite (quinoa burger with bacon)
- Bin YangDecember 30, 2016Home of the legendary black butte porter - roast, smoke, coffee, delicious, light and crushable. Be on the lookout for any of their vintage stuff that's available. Mega awesome burgers!
- MoniqueSeptember 9, 2019Fun typical brewery stop that’s touristy but not. Locals do come here too. Get the flight of beer to try all their different beers!
- Jules R.July 7, 2015Great beer, great food, waiters super friendly. We had the Brewery burger and I tried the Zarabanda. I also recommend that ice cream pie as a dessert, it was delicious :)
- This is a goto spot whenever I'm in town. The food is superb and you can't beat the beer. Need proof? Check out all the hardware on the back wall. Nothing beats Black Butte Porter from a tap.
- Tristan Belloeil-MarraneMarch 26, 2013I was amazed by how the barman was knowledgable and helpful on the choice of the beers. It is rare to have such a help on beers and having the possibility to taste the beers. Great place.
- Scott CameronAugust 16, 2013Great place !! Awesome food. Killer Beer. I go for something on menu and sweet potato fries as someone tipped "Are to die for". Yes, they are. The Black Butte XXV is my fave. :)

- Mark HSeptember 12, 2014Top notch brews, awesome specialty bottles, and the food is amazing. Be prepared for a wait on weekend evenings though!
- Andre WyattFebruary 20, 2015Great pub food with a bit of a wait. They'll buzz you when your table is open so you might as well grab a drink at a neighboring bar while you wait.
- The crab roll is pretty great. Actually all the food is surprisingly good for a brewery. There's a special beer list too but you have to ask for it.
- John CassilloAugust 6, 2014Lived up to its reputation -- fantastic bartenders and beers, and a great place to drink and eat for several hours. I'd return every day if I could.

- James YoungMarch 13, 2015A bit bigger and less intimate than I would have liked but the beers are really, really good. Black Butte was smooth, the nitro obsidian stout is excellent.
- This was one of my favorite breweries before I had to go gluten free. Since then it's my favorite brew pub w/out question. Delicious gluten free beer and food!
- Meesh FeltJanuary 3, 2013Definitely try the beer, it is wonderful! If you're a plant-based/vegan eater, order the portobello burger sans cheese and mayo. Filling and delicious!!
- Leah BrandtnerMay 6, 2017Outstanding beer selection; I recommend the Pacific Wonderland Lager. =) The elk burger was fabulous, too.
- Neil SanchalaAugust 9, 2012The pretzel is fantastic. Buttery and crispy and salty and chewy. The cheese and mustard it comes with are pretty good too, but the pretzel itself is the highlight. Get it!
- Amy RobertsonMay 3, 2018I could spend hours drinking all the great beer and stuffing myself with the tasty grub. The daily sausage was standout
- Jillian NicholsMarch 23, 2015Order the mac and cheese and ask for the Aardvark habanero hot sauce to go with it. When you're done weeping tears of happiness, you can thank me.
- Chris FDecember 1, 2015Traditional brewery with standard menu offerings! Lots of seating and friendly knowledgable staff
- The food and beer are great here. I especially like to visit in the fall to sample their creative brews.
- Anna JamesDecember 28, 2014Fresh squeezed wings is best with beer. Spinach with quinoa salad is as good as it can get.
- Christopher HayesMarch 1, 2014Best way to get a taste of their beer is to order the sampler. They have pre-selected samplers but you can also create your own.
- Ryan GallagherJanuary 29, 2017Nice brewery. With really helpful and friendly staff. Beer was solid as well.
- Rod SagerNovember 18, 2014This is a nice spot, beer sampler is fun way to try a lot of different brews. Menu is fairly complete and food is good.
- If you love Bison, the bison burger is crazy awesome. I do recommend sub'ing the aioli it comes with, with chipotle aioli instead.
- Zack SheppardNovember 15, 2015Those pretzels. They're great, almost like pretzel croissants, and the mustard cheese dip that comes with it is perfect.
- Ricardo HernandezJuly 25, 2015Get a sampler. Everything on the food menu looks great. Avoid crowds and get there in late evenings.
- J CrowleyJune 23, 2012Ask the bartender for quarters so you can throw them at the bucket on the wall. Beat my 5 for 8 and I'll buy you a beer.

- Akiko IAugust 18, 2014They offer great quality beers. My fav here is "basil", tho there're lots of other good stuff. Their bar foods are also interesting.
- irishboyinlondonJune 16, 2013We went to the one in pearl! Great value for money! Beer and atmosphere good to boot! Worth a visit! Seems to be a very local crowd!
