Rafa TFebruary 4, 2016As a Spaniard living in NY, I over expected so much it still hurts... The shop part is amazing, the sandwiches, excessively poor (when comparing to real Spanish ones). Serrano with cream cheese? Ugh.
The Mallorquin is a sleeper hit, with the honey adding a nice sweet touch. Add some soft sheep's cheese to take it over the top.
I highly recommend this place for their sandwiches (come for lunch!), but also their fantastic selection of cheeses, olive oils, and spreads. A gem.
Tortilla Bocadillo dipped into EVOO/black pepper mix is the move to make. Ask them to hook it up with some samples of that acorn fed jamón and ride the flavor wave.

They serve yummy warm sandwiches. My favorite is their chorizo sandwich. Try their samples while you wait.

Buy some wine next door & pop into the back for some tapas. Excellent place to load up on chorizo, cheese & other foods.

The picante is spicy and delicious. Chorizo with Basque peppers, tomatoes, a soft cheese, and a healthy dose of olive oil on a big crusty ciabatta.

Boquerones salad with balsamic. Have some cheese, oils and vinegars samples while you wait.
Instead of waiting for a sandwich, get a salad instead. They have a great range of ready made salads at the counter.
The pintxo with jamon and white anchovies is to die for. Get some jamon iberico to go & really enjoy the day at the park!
