- Rodger SmithSeptember 17, 2019The crust is crispy, the sauce is hearty and well balanced a very good pizza
- Abu TaherNovember 7, 2017It’s amazing. Worth the hype, but calm down with the hyperbole. Just wait, order, wait, and it fresh.
- Seth ThompsonApril 21, 2013Had the Sausage, Pepperoni, Mushrooms, Onions, Garlic, and Black Olives regular pie... A must do if you are in Brooklyn!!!
- Bradley PatrieDecember 8, 2013Best slice I've ever had! Skip the toppings and go straight for a cheese pie. Worth the trip!
- P. D.May 28, 2021May 2021: I have had transcendent pizza here before, but quality has slipped a good deal. The old man is not around, which may be a contributing factor.
- Adam KubanAugust 16, 2011You're probably already here, so my tip to GO BEFORE OPENING is probably wasted on you. So I'll just say, GET A WHOLE PIE. Round or square. Both great. It's not worth the wait for only a slice or two. Read more
- RossDecember 23, 2016Good, not mind-blowing. Not worth waiting two hours. Be careful of the time estimate when you ask how long it'll take; it'll be off by 4-6x. Go for the square before the round, and don't order a pie.
- I've had a lot of great pizza, and this place consistently continues to be the best pizza I've ever had.
- Gianna NebbiaNovember 13, 2017Amazing. But everyone already knows that. Get the square pizza. No toppings.
- Flo FloFebruary 8, 2013$5 a slice plus a $1 extra per topping. 2 slices will run as much as a pie. Do I think this place is worth the price, travel and wait. No. Is it good, yes but def NOT the BEST.
- Tom WalshSeptember 7, 2017Worth the wait Dominic is the only only one that makes the pies. He is the pizza genius.
- Renee F. The Brooklyn BiteMarch 21, 2013One of the best in the land. Go off hrs to avoid crazy wait times. Peppers on counter are delicious but spicyyyyyy
- First We FeastAugust 3, 2014Dom DeMarco may be getting old, but if he weren't so humble, he might invoke Jay Z and let everyone know the truth: "Your best shit ain't better than my worst shit." Go pay homage while you still can. Read more
- Village VoiceOctober 25, 2012Critics' Pick winner of The Village Voice Best of NYC 2012 Best Foodie Adventures: Midwood, Brooklyn!
- Raul ReyesFebruary 22, 2019It's a very good pizza, it really differentiates from other places, now, is it a slice worth $5, not sure.
- Bradley JonesMay 25, 2012Definitely eat a snack before you go because you will definitely have to wait more than 1 hour to get a pie. Worth it though!
- Connie ChiuAugust 31, 2014Classic and garlic topping! We waited for two hours. The pizza was reallyyyyy good but the two hours...not so much
- AlexisOctober 29, 2012Get a whole pie. If you just get one or two slices, you'll come back for more. And the wait's already long as it is.
- PizzaSnobo pizzasnobo.comMarch 13, 2011Yes, it’s still great pizza and maybe you should go there once in your life. But traveling there, combined with the long wait once you arrive, takes up just too much time.
- Howard LJuly 22, 2018Good pizza but be prepared to wait for 2 hours. Very disorganized system and you never know when you’ll actually get your food!
- Felicia MoeisJune 24, 2012This man is so badass he can touch a piping hot/sizzling pizza pan with his bare hands. Experience it before he gets too old!
- Jesse AngelinoJanuary 15, 2015This.....this place. This place is the pizza that NY is known for. This is ground zero. This is THE Brooklyn Pizza.Where pizza starts and ends.
- Omar JaberJune 15, 2012best pizza in brooklyn. get a pie, you should be able to finish most of it cuz it's not greasy. iloveit
- Jen ChungSeptember 18, 2013"Legendary owner Don DeMarco stands at the counter generously topping your pizza with olive oil and fresh cut basil."
- Ravi MexicoApril 3, 2013It's NOT imperative to get a pie. Just walk to the counter and see if there are slices available. If so, Jump on it and laugh at the idiots waiting hours for a pie. If none, become one of the idiots.
- Graham GnallJanuary 26, 2018Best pizza in NYC. Squares, calzones, rounds all epic. Praise Dom, Based Pizza God.
- EugJune 28, 2013The taste of pizza is great, however, you have to wait 10 hours in line for it. Worth the wait? In my opinion, no.

- Monisha HendersonJanuary 20, 2013Amazing pizza. Expensive but worth the $ and the wait. And buy whole pies not slices.
- Serious EatsFebruary 1, 2012Go on a weekday, just as they open at noon. In fact, get there a little early. Read more
- rich masioApril 3, 2015Quaint. cute seeing the old man work solo. Painstakingly slow. His son helps by cutting the basil. Otherwise there's no one else working meaning 1-2 hour wait for a pie, which can be soggy or burnt
- The square and round pies each have their distinct cult following. Try'em both, but if you must choose, go square. It's a transcendental experience.
