- Adam GluckJune 17, 2015The drinks and appetizers are amazing. Try the chili cheese bread (Indian food meets comfort food), and the Paneer Tikka (sounds simple but tastes incredible). The Brambles are my new favorite drink.Upvoted Sep 15
- Casual class with a playful wink. Start at the craft cocktail bar (signature punch!), try the whole menu (crispy okra, prawns, pork vindaloo - YUM!!!), repeat often. Love this place.
- Lisa FJanuary 11, 2018Contemporary trendy Indian with amazing monkey character and details throughout. Incredible service, drinks and food. Favorites: Tabdoori chicken tikka, munkey lamb biryani, hard boiled eggs.
- Angela GauerFebruary 13, 2014Really amazing indian food and cocktails! Don't expect a menu of curries with meat options, this is more high end. The biryanis are the best.
- My absolute favorite restaurant in the city. Amazing Anglo-Indian food and unique cocktails. Pimms cup and biryani is my go-to!
- NathanAugust 21, 2014Away from the clamorous mess of second avenue, this neighborhood jewel is one part Commonwealth, one part expat -- shaken with a twist of whimsy. The paani puri are fun. The cocktails are spectacular.
- Lisa FDecember 22, 2018Fun, trendy monkey theme. Unique modern Indian. Tabdoori chicken tikka and Munkey Lamb Biryani were excellent. Fantastic cocktails.
- Great drinks especially the Pimm's No.1 Cup, beautiful interiors and always classy music. Try the pork vindaloo and the gajar halwa. They can do no wrong, trust me!
- ZenFoodsterMay 22, 2017Butter Ckn Tikka Masala was in a tasty & light sauce; Saag Paneer too salty; Naan was thin & not too dense; Cauliflower too vinegary &undercooked. If only seating was less cramped & in brighter space!
- Michael HaaralaSeptember 9, 2016Favorite Indian food in the city -- fresh naan, great cocktails and amazing dishes!
- Jesse LaneNovember 23, 2016Excellent little date spot on the UES. Crispy okra and vegetable korma are delicious.
- Renae MasonSeptember 7, 2016Fantastic South Asian themed speakeasy, with great cocktails and bar snacks. They usually have a happy hour - 2 for 1 drinks.
- Brett FrommeJanuary 30, 2016Excellent Indian food in a somewhat upscale bar and grill. Very spicy! Be sure to make a reservation or you may not get a table.
- LilyJanuary 17, 2016A much more upscale version of the typical Indian restaurant. It can get busy so call ahead and put your name on the waiting list!
- Manoj AmbalavananFebruary 9, 2022Solid indian food - the appetizers are really tasty with a wide range of flavors. Get the spicy toast and okra 4sure
- Avneesh KohliJanuary 13, 2019The chicken tikka and dahi puris in the starters section were excellent
- Paul MitchellDecember 21, 2013Ordered the Garden Vegetable Korma and savored its buttery texture and aromatic spices. Also ordered a side of Bombay Aloo, simply small cubed potatoes with cooked in spicy goodness. Delicious!
- Tracey ChurrayMay 7, 2014Some of the best Indian in the neighborhood. Recommend the Pani puri for starters and butter masala for your main!
- Paige CDecember 25, 2020Love this restaurant. Great butter chicken! Must come back and try their desserts.
- Incredible drinks and food's not bad either as long as you can get over the borderline racist themes
- Neha SebastianJune 19, 2015Food is amazing! The biryani melts in your mouth. Stuffed capsicum was delish! Make a reservation.
- ZacharyDecember 6, 2014The atmosphere, the perfectly spiced food, and the very friendly staff make this an UES gem.
- Liz GoodbandFebruary 22, 2015Such great food and atmosphere. Also great cocktails. Can be crowded but it's worth it.
- Christina LouiseJanuary 3, 2021Really good UES Indian restaurant! Definitely coming again. Great food and service.
- Madeline McDavidApril 10, 2016Get the Pani Puri, India's greatest street food as an appetizer and a Singapore Sling or several. Cozy and fun.
- Russell HirschornAugust 6, 2016More like a bar with great vibe that serves decent indian food. Cauliflower side and Pani Puuri were not very good. Chicken and shrimp entrees did not have enough flavor or kick
- I recommend the Butter Chicken Tikka Masala and the Bloody Mary with cumin. So good.
- Joseph ADecember 15, 2013Great new cocktail bar/Indian place. Aviation cocktail tastes like a red white and blue Popsicle awesome
- Kaitlyn PezikMay 10, 2015I didn't think I liked Indian food until I came here, so tasty and amazing cocktails.
- Marc SoléDecember 5, 2013The best hindu restaurant I've ever been. The service is kind and efficient. We loved it!
- Arun NandiOctober 31, 2014Decent bhel. Overall not great Indian food. It's more targeted to the American desi food lover
- Jessie CatanaMarch 24, 2014The lamb biryani is fantastic! But who the hell is the hostess? What a sour puss. Will come back but hope she isn't here
- Lisa LAugust 11, 2014Take a peak at the cocktail menu. The mint julep is extra boozy. The food here is A+
- Brigitte PerezJanuary 18, 2015Food is good but this is def a place for Americans. Portions are small compared to other indian restaurants.
