- Nice airport. Fast wifi. Terrible connection to the city. Only bus or taxi available.
- Travel.gc.ca - Travel Advice for CanadiansMarch 21, 2013An International Driving Permit is recommended. Turning at a red light is prohibited. The use of a cellular telephone while driving is prohibited unless it is fitted with a hands-free device.
- Avoid the aerlingus lounge the Dublin airport lounge is right beside it. Same price with much better food and drink selection!
- BérengerSeptember 8, 2016Airport sucks. You fight to sit down (but there's room to put two Porsches though), not a lot of outlets, wifi is terrible … only for you if you like shopping. Take an example on Amsterdam, DUB!
- In Terminal 1 the DAA lounge which takes Airport Angel, Priority Pass etc is only up until 19:00 so alternatives for coffee are Butlers or Starbucks!
- Greg AvolaSeptember 26, 2013Going to the US? Be sure to get there extra early for 2 types of airport security (TSA and EU) plus pre-clearance.
- They have self service passport gates, but unlike Heathrow you have to queue in the same line as people using the staffed booths so you save zero time.
- Great food at Diep Noodle bar just before you go up to security!
- prepay online for your long term parking. Way cheaper and you don't need any tickets etc. Just drive in and back out when done.
- Butlers chocolate cafe opposite the 300 gates serve the best coffee - with a free chocolate!
- Maxime HourtouleFebruary 12, 2012Over the day, the cheapest way to get to the city centre is the 16a or 41 bus. It will cost you less than 3€. City express 747 is 6€ and a taxi will be around 25€.
- Power outlets in the 400's: bar in shopping area and gates 419+. Quite sparse for a new terminal.
- Generally quiet but usually a long walk and or a bus ride when you arrive. Facilities at gates are poor so don’t go till you have too
- Wouter ClaessensJune 18, 2011Always nice to come home! One tip, go for Aerlingus and not Ryanair if you want a pleasant experience!
- Charlotte LNovember 16, 2014Way overheated. No water fountains, but the Garden Terrace upstairs in T1 departures has jugs of water on the bar.
- Do not buy water, find and use the drinking water stations. 💧
- Keep your eyes peeled for secret wee staircases that help you beat the crowds.
- There's an outdoor smoking area airside in T1. Once through security, turn right towards Piers A and D and look for the signs.
- Owen McNameeFebruary 18, 2015Free WiFi is handy but a stranger rarity of electrical sockets is a pity.
- Alain BDecember 14, 2014Nice refurbished and enhanced airport. Changed a lot in a positive way these past ten years.
- At 4am, most of the bar and restaurants are closed. Starbucks is not ! Enjoy your coffee !
- Moko DMarch 23, 2014Avoid 'The Flaming Stone bistro & bar' at all costs. They can't even get fish and chips right, bones galore and don't get me started on the stuffed mushroom.. Go anywhere but here. You've been warned.
- Really fast airport, free WiFi i really like it.
- One of the best airports in Europe for free wifi! Thank you Eircom
- Ivan Nuñez-PachecoAugust 25, 2013Biggest selling point - very nice staff and free wifi. But not a lot of options for food
- Pretty efficient check-in and security screening at Terminal 1 today. Staff helpful and pleasant.
- SAM! FarrellJuly 3, 2013Allow plenty of extra time when traveling on aer lingus! Long queue lines for baggage drop off, check in and then security. You need at least 1.5 hrs once at airport!
- If you have global entry avoid for flights back to US. Pre clearance means security and customs twice lines and lines.
- Need a real pub close by? Kealy’s is practically across the street. The Guinness is outstanding.
- It's a rather big airport and has decent cafes and stores. However still leaves absolutely no impression or memories.
- Kendal CockrelAugust 17, 2018Nice airport but if coming back to the US, you’ll have to wait in line for security twice.
- 6.95 for Scrambled Egg and mushrooms in Slaney Bar good airport value. They should have kept it simpler though - trying to be too fancy.
- Mo SJune 10, 2014US citizens clear CBP here. Go thru security (sans liquids), pick up your dufree, etc. Then go to customs security line (don't panic, spirits ok!), then proceed to the lines. GLOBAL ENTRY on the left.
- Karina NAugust 17, 2016Most USB plugs that are designated for phone charging doesn't work. Try the Surfbox with signage "internet access". Free charging
- Martyn MorganJanuary 24, 2019Don’t go through into the US Pre-immigration area until you really have to; there’s nothing in here! No proper shops, duty free and no DragonPass lounge. Once you’re in, it’s like you’re in the US.
- Mark WilkinsonApril 15, 2013Several flights to the US through Terminal 2 go through US Customs Pre-Clearance here. But it's AFTER the airline lounges and most of the shopping and restaurants.
