Fun little casual spot in EV. Drinks are good, especially the watermelon gimlet. Get the brisket jerky, shrimp chips and charcuterie platter. Next time I gotta try the fried duck & waffle!
Beans/rice and ribs are amazing! Wings are ok but you could pass on it. Their beignets are perfect sugar puffs. FYI it's fairly small. #eastvillage #foodie #french #nyc #nomnom #foodporn #delicious
My favorite neighborhood joint. LOVE the beef short ribs, mussels in chili oil & chicken wings. The food are deliciously messy so maybe not ideal for 1st dates but ideal for everything else.
Goat neck rice, jerk chicken, and the roasted duck salad were perfect. Delicious cocktails too. They have a projector that screens old school movies onto the back wall. Would come back for sure!
One of the best. Check their "Bites" menu for the Deez Nuts - highly recommended. Their Red Beans ‘n Rice are exceptional... true Southern cooking and perhaps the best to be found here in NYC.
I had they wings i kept hearing about, they lived up to hype very juicy not overcooked well marinated loved it so much i ordered it twice , i have to come back & try the brisket
Come here on Brisket Tuesdays! Also come here for the goat neck. They serve whole smoked hare, whole smoked pig & New England clambakes when you order one-week in advance.
French-Creole. Spicy beef jerky juiced with fish sauce, North Fork cherrystone clams served with a kaffir-ham granita, the aforementioned pig ear wraps with hot sauce and pickled cabbage Read more
This Eatery means serious business. Transparently sourced local ingredients designed and prepared by people who are obviously excited about real, good food. Bone marrow & oysters, Goat neck, Brisket:)
Goat's neck curry... There are no words so just stuff your face with it and fall in love. The ribs were also delicious. Great service, too. If in doubt, ask what they recommend.
We ordered about half the menu, and though everything was great, the Smoked Duck (small plate) & Red Beans ‘N Rice (w/ smoked lamb breast + seasoned coconut rice) definitely stood out as the tastiest.
The goat neck was fantastic. I was a little turned off by how slow the service was, but will likely be coming back either for the goat neck or to try the smoked watermelon
Smoke mussels, okra to start, then share the smoke whole goat neck (moist, fatty yet not overbearingly so, falls off the bone), served over moist coconut rice and a mild yellow curry.
Though some of the Asian fusion food here is a bit overwrought, small plates like chicken wings, house pickles, and crispy pig's ears are worth sharing.
Tremendous food flavors. Very spicy corn. Delicious pickle jar. Wonderful wings. Cozy--with a little bit of rambunctiousness--atmosphere. Duck'n delicious. Haha.
Delicious. Not a word I use lightly but from charred head-on shrimp, duck salad, to wings or even their sole dessert of beignets it rang true. Eat here. Often.
I loved this place, The food, music and everything. But they didn t give me a table just because I was alone. 5 tables were available for almost 2 hours. I ate at the bat. Make reservations. 6.
Complex cocktails and clever menu make for an adventurous dinner to share with friends. Get the white buffalo to drink and try the pigs ear. Delicious!
Chef Will Horowitz's turkey double down is a thing of beauty: roasted bird meat piled between two latkes, along with cornbread-oyster stuffing, gravy and huckleberry jam.
