Free AT&T WiFi, but don't try to do too much...signal is spotty. Good luck finding an outlet to charge your devices.

erin mazurskyApril 1, 2011The new Dulles is so much better than the old Dulles, it was worthy of a tip. Security 3x faster than before. Less chaos.
First time flying US Air out of Z gates. No food or drink other than Subways (yuck!) but they're just past security (seating is limited though).
Not a big fan of IAD! Takes forever to get to from DC and once here it takes forever more to get to the gate! DCA is the way to go!

Diamond security, opens just before 5 am- right by arrival gate 5. Quick through security.
Bronwen JonesNovember 15, 2013Free wifi. Avoid united airlines. Leave plenty of time to get to your gate - you will need it.
Horrible. Security lines are long & disorganized-even if you have Premier privileges-and once you finally get thru, you have to take a tram and then walk the length of a marathon to get to your gate.

Antonio GarzaOctober 2, 2017If you have to take an international connection flight, be aware, I took me almost 3 hours to get trough customs.
The 5A bus to D.C. from IAD starts running an hour earlier than the Washington Flyer on weekends. And is cheaper.
Umman KhawajaAugust 4, 2014Before proceeding to customs, make sure u flush any drugs or narcotics at the public restroom.
Avoid the new train. Takes easily twice as long as the moving lounges through D. iAd is blowing it!
Diamond check in is no more. Still a shorter one on the first level though

KorenSeptember 7, 201430 minutes to get from economy parking to security + 30 mins to get thru security + 15 mins to get to your gate. Yeah, plan to arrive 2 hours prior to your flight.

Love the crab cake sandwich at Tidewater restaurant Terminal C.
I still like the people mover! I feel as though I have to walk a country mile when taking the train.
