- Check-in, security and access to gates are faster. Free wifi only for 2 hours. If you have lot of time, goto gate 20-23 as there are more seats, and charging points for your mobile/laptop there.Upvoted 3 weeks ago
- Hans AverdungMarch 6, 2018Spent 8 hours waiting for a new flight after Snowmagedon.uk and it was quite comfy. The Costa next to international arrivals has very friendly personnelUpvoted Sep 30
- Gbenga MogajiDecember 7, 2014No need getting to Edinburgh Waverly ( from Glasgow), alight from Haymarket and get the Tram. £5 for adult single ticket.Upvoted 2 weeks ago
- Fast security check. Many destinations. Plenty of cafes. Always busy. Buses outside to grt u to the center every 10 min or to glasgow every 30min.
- If you’re arriving on an international flight, I would like to apologise on behalf of the people Scotland for your arrival in a building with all the aesthetics of a cattle shed. Enjoy your visit!
- Lañ DeirMarch 7It's a wee airport that does its job perfectly fine. It has everything you could wish for from an international airport of its size. Plenty of sitting places and things to do.
- Probably the easiest, smoothest most relaxing security check ever. It's so well designed I'd happily go through twice in a visit.
- Gateway to Scotland one of the best airports to fly from. Water fountain at the centre of security, plenty of shops whilst waiting for your flight.
- Like the airport primarily because I love the city. Taxis are a walk out if the main building through the canopy.
- Between gates 25-26 there's a rack to pick up free newspapers and magazines. Times, FT... leave the S*n on the shelf though #JFT96
- Domestic flight arrivals require that you fight your way through the departure terminal which is over crowded and has overly narrow walk ways. Departure security is a shambles at any time of day
- The BA lounge is nice and quiet, if you're lucky to be Silver and above or fly business that day. Rest of the airport is noisy and it's tough to find seats.
- AP du PlessisAugust 20, 2023There's 2 of everything: 2 Caffe Neros, 2 Pretts, 2 WHSmiths. A few boutique shops and a Burger King.
- Cenk GümüşcüoğluSeptember 28, 2014Free Wi-Fi for 2 hours... Airlink city buses are on the 19th stand right outside the building. Actually the city is so small that you'll start thinking you could have even "walked" to the city center.
- TaylorJuly 30, 2016The new security hall works quite well if you're not an idiot and move your bins to the repack-and-sort-yourself-out tables after the scanners. Be proactive!
- Olya VanchikovaMarch 15, 20144£ to get here with citylink bus from and to the centre, 2 hours free wi-fi, nice and clean WC premises, good and helpful stuff!
- Arrive really early - particularly if you have bags to check in. Security is either very quick or *very very* slow, and staff *will* shout at you if you don’t understand the system.
- Mahdi HosseiniSeptember 29, 2017Too much strict about liquid! You can'r take your shampoo if it has a 100ml bottle, but it's less than 30ml itself! Costa cafe is the only open place there at midnight.
- Mahdi HosseiniSeptember 29, 20172hrs free WiFi .Not enough seats. Only Costa cafe is open at midnights. Easy accessable from/to Edinburgh. Check in 2hrs before your flight. If not, It would cost you £50 if you're flying with Ryanair
- B. Aaron TalbotOctober 23, 2016easy to navigate and get to, lots of food options and i bought some great whisky at a great price...
- Hamilton PereiraSeptember 16, 2014There's a citylink bus that takes you directly to Glasgow city center every half hour during peak time. It's on stance 6 and you pay 11£ directly to the bus driver.
- If you are picking someone up wait in the park and ride at the top of the road and get them to call you when they are at the pick up point , it only costs £1 to go through.
- Cheen The CuriousSeptember 8, 2019Did you know? EDI is the busiest Scottish airport in 2018, handling >14.3M passengers. Source: UK Civil Aviation Authority
- Possibly the UKs worst airport! If you can avoid it do so! You are likely to be be put on a bus a driven slowly nowhere! Security is a shambles so don’t arrive at the last moment it takes an eternity
- Mustafa SevinçJanuary 23, 201530 minutes to Waverley Bridge by bus (Airlink 100) where you can take train to almost all UK. It costs 4£. Free wi-fi both in airport and bus.
- Colin WhiteJuly 31, 2013Catching a BA Airbus A320 to London? The middle seats on the right of the plane are wider than those on the left. Seat E wider than seat B!
- Security queues can get long, so don't faff about go straight through. Past security lots of retail and food options.
- Katie FramptonMarch 23, 2014They want you to pay to use a locker to charge your phone. No thank you. You can usually find an outlet behind a rubbish bin. You have to sit on the floor, but better than paying £1.50 for 30 mins.
- XeelizJune 28, 2014New lounge opened, called Aspire. Small but very nice. Lovely staff, pretty nice for snacks too.
- To avoid the scandalous £1 fee (£5 after 10 mins) to drop off / pick up, use the FREE dropoff area. Keep to the left lane, and take the first left after you pass the Spitfire. Almond Road. Read more
- 🄵🄴🄻🄸🅇 dnǝʇsɔɥSeptember 6, 2018Super efficient. The bus 100 to downtown leaves from Bay D just outside the terminal. They accept credit cards and Google Pay.
- Irene PasquinelliApril 20, 2017Recently renewed and slightly fancy. Food available also from early morning. Few benches without armrest to sleep in!
- Rebecca MAugust 12, 2017Wow. Security was some sort of fantasy of efficiency. Points off though for the officious way I was selected for "random" security screening. Boarding the plane felt like a prisoner transfer.
- JohnnieAugust 30, 2013The espresso from EAT. is like mud. Serving cheap and nasty Robusta instead of gorgeous and lovely Arabica beans is a disgrace, and a crime against humanity.
- Duke of Wellington or am I just GODSeptember 8, 2022Good not big airport. Chitty room. Lots of food outlets. I recommend.
- Great Seafood Bar that also has a nice selection of champagne & wine for those that like to indulge themselves before flying!
- Be prepared for a tour of the airport by bus when you return! 😡
- Brewdog at Gate 15 is good, but give yourself extra time - lots of renovations in check-in right now means it’s taking an age!
- Richard BomanJuly 9, 2014Keep like items, (liquids, electronics, etc in easy to access groups) and get Whisky!
- If you prepare and follow the well laid out path it's excellent. Smooth security and great customer service.
- Go to park and ride and park for free if you are waiting for someone that way if flight is delayed you don't pay more than £1 in drop off pick up. Get them to ring you when their bags have arrived.
- Very nice service, small shops, exchange ... All what you need
- Make sure to visit the 'World of Whisky' shop while you're here. They have quite a lot of different whiskies there
- WanderlustSeptember 4, 2022Based on other reviews, I got to the airport super early and got fast track yet the queue was very minimal.
- Gail SampsonOctober 7, 2014Use the tram if you can - clean, efficient and you can even pop to The Gyle for shopping!
- moko anggoroSeptember 3, 2014They have excellent free Wifi here. The transportation to Edinburgh city center is also excellent.
