Loved the skirt steak with fries, so flavorful! Also enjoyed the clam chowder. Their complementary bread is homemade. Their staff is also quick, kind, and provide excellent service.

If a bowl of their New England chowder is not enough for you, opt for the loaded shellfish chowder, which, as its name suggests, is filled with all sorts of seafood goodies floating in a steamy broth. Read more

Great happy hour specials - at $1.50/ea the Raw oysters hit the spot. Same with the cod sandwich which comes with a small slaw and a small side of fries.

Upscale chowder house that’s perfect for a pre/post theater meal or a special occasion. Try a specialty cocktail (Silver Sidecar) and Ed’s Loaded Shellfish Chowder.

For sea-shack favorites all year long, head on over to Ed Brown's eponymous eatery where lobster rolls are sinfully delicious and a potato chip-crusted cod tastes of summer and the beach.

Try the chowder sampler if you can't decide. The manhattan clam chowder was the best. The beet salad is awesome! Cod cakes are worth a try. Lobster was slightly over cooked. Try Jalapeño cream corn

The dinner at Restaurant Week is very worth it. They give you 2 big pieces of skate and an enormous bowl of clam chowder.

Upstairs from PJ Clarke's but has a whole Cape Cod or Hamptons) vibe. Not much for vegetarians (seafood lovers will be in Heaven); however, the (very) chopped veggie salad is lite

while their chowders are highly recommended, the general consensus is "skip Ed's Chowder House." The good: cod cakes, apple crumble desert. The bad: entrees are 'meh' & there are better places in NYC.
