- BhavukFebruary 9, 2015If you want a nice romantic date, this is the place. And book the sofa seats. Good wine. Lay back and watch some great cinema in an eclectic and electric setting.Upvoted Oct 19
- Ashleigh GardnerApril 1, 2017Super luxe cinema with large comfy leather seats, footstools, a cashmere blankets. Amazing snacks and drinks. Book in advance, as most showings sell out.
- Laurel BDecember 7, 2013Amazing cinema experience! Check out the diner next door for a pint before the movie, which also has a great atmosphere. Watch for Benedict Cumberbatch as Humphrey Bogart in the 'How to Behave' short.
- GregorygrishaJune 1, 2017Best cinema in London, it is the oldest venue in the city. Comfy armchairs, but try and book a bed for two, it will make you want come back again and again.
- TeymurJune 3, 2018Sofa for two is amazing, but also regular seats are great, bed is just too close to the screen for me,dont forget to take all the snacks before the movie starts 😄 they close the bar, once it starts.
- Perhaps the best cinema I've ever been to. Amazing seats. Good food. Feel free to arrive a bit late to avoid all the commercials before the show.
- Woolly KnickersNovember 30, 2013Great mugs of tea, wines, cupcakes, old fashioned sweets, popcorn, cheese and fruit selections, sausage rolls, hot dogs, etc. Fantastic... Book yourself a front sofa / bed and lounge in luxury.
- Favourite cinema in London. Comfy armchairs with side table, lamp and footstool; but if it's the two of you, go for one of the beds at the front. Be sure to eat at the diner beforehand.
- James WhatleyJuly 25, 2015One of the most beautiful cinemas I've ever visited. You must go. If you're already here, well done! You've made an excellent choice.
- FranckJanuary 29, 2016The interior of the Electric references the cinema's long history with large leather sofas, footstools as well as tables for food and drink. Perfect place for a romantic night out.
- Annabell NordenApril 9, 2017Amazing laid back seats! A little too comfy for some. Had some spicy nuts - a decent portion worth a beer. Great cinema and worth the price for a treat.
- My favourite cinema ever! Leather armchairs with foot stools and little side tables/lamps. Check out their edible cinema themed viewings with paired food!
- Mickaël AugelloMarch 30, 2015The most romantic cinema i've ever been. Enjoy a platter of delicious food/drinks on the front sofas while watching a great movie! What else?!
- Best movie theatre in the whole world. REALLY. The burger is amazing and the bar in the back is the tops. Book online early.
- Magdalena MrázkováJune 4, 2015Truly unique experience - stuck midway between cinema and theatre - with comfy chairs that will lull you to sleep if the movie's not good enough ;)
- Daniela BarreraMay 27, 2014Fabulous place! Pick between the front beds, the seats or the sofas at the back. All with a nice blanket and enjoy the bar!
- SHOWRUNNERNovember 22, 2012It's all about Sundays at the Electric Cinema. Check out Portobello Road Market mid-morning, then take in the double bill, kick back in the vast leather chairs and enjoy.
- MauiNovember 25, 2016Great for a special night out. Everyone has their own fauteuil and a footstool + inside there's a blanket! <3
- Elke De PourcqJune 20, 2015Loved the seats although the sound wasn't quite allright. If you come with your boyfriend and don't have a bed it's kinda hard enjoying the movie together.
- Best cinema in London. If booking as a couple, the sofas at the back are a must
- Kristy AndersonSeptember 5, 2013Great place to experience cinematic fun in a unique way! Bit of a French feel to it!
- Georg FJune 28, 2013Book seats from the left to middle, max 3/4-right to avoid distraction from ppl heading to/from bathrooms in the right hand seats.
- Nick SorrosOctober 31, 2015Book the back couch if you go with your partner. Cheaper from odeon lounge, far better atmosphere and the only reason to give money for a movie
- Lizzie BarkerApril 24, 2014Best cinema I've been to in London. Tables, footstools, blankets and bar.
- Lovely and considerate staff, who are super helpful with babies. And baby cinema here is awesome! One of the highlights of my maternity leave : )
- One of the best cinema house in London...they serve cakes and wine in the theatre!!!
- Graeme CodringtonOctober 12, 2010What an awesome cinema. Also great for corporate events - well set up with great AV all in place. Highly recommended

- Craig DavisMarch 21, 2011First purpose built cinema in London 100 years ago...comfy, dark, with a bar...a must!
- Paul MurrayFebruary 19, 2010Fabulous cinema - my favourite in London. Go for amazingly comfortable seats (and the chocolate brownies).
- Cathy O'DonnellDecember 13, 2010Very nice cinema but £5 for a brownie?!! I have no words to describe how ridiculous that is!!
- Fadi ShumanAugust 8, 2010Great art house cinema, need to book well in advance for most screenings...
