Their waitstaffs a who can sing very well. Try their crispy chicken wing and Smores shake and burger with mushroom. Come early or be prepared to Q for dinner. Lunch is good because Q is shorter.
Touristy but in a good way. If you come as part of class trip for lunch, I suggest getting the grilled chicken sandwich or Caesar salad. Stay away from the chicken strips or pasta pommodora w chicken,
I got a spicycrispy chicken sandwich. It was pretty tasty! The spicy sauce they bring is sort of like buffalo sauce. Definitely get a milkshake for dessert! Zech was a great server!
Broadway show for the price of a cheeseburger? Yeah! Make sure that you plan to visit this place in advance as you will probably have to stand in a long line to get in! Don't miss the malt shakes!
Warm up with a hot and delicious Chicken Pot Pie served in a cast iron crock. Chunks of chicken with carrots, celery, peas and mushrooms in a rich (oh so tasty Read more
The food is hit or miss here but the entertainment is A++. Great restaurant for any theater lover. The Chicken Pot Pie is the best thing I've tried on the menu so far.
Typical tourist spot in the heart of Times Square. You definitely go for the entertainment rather than the food! Each server is someone trying to bust into the theater scene. Some are truly phenomenal
Does exactly what it says on the tin! Your servers singing non-stop showtunes, diner food & a whole lot of campy fun! If you're looking for a quiet, high quality meal this isn't the place for you!
This place is amazing. And so fun. The waiters and waitresses are aspiring broadway performers and sing while they wait on you. Great family atmosphere!! Arrive early or expect to wait in long lines.
Went in with a few friends from out of town, wanted to do something touristy. The singing waitstaff was as talented as always, and I was pleasantly surprised by how good my brisket sandwich was.
The servers were awesome! The burgers were OK, could be better Can't go wrong with a great sing-a-along or serenade!! Would definitely return for the entertainment and the milkshakes!
Really whacky place - singing wait staff (all are aspiring performers with their sights on broadway) mean it's pretty loud but hilarious. Food was awesome too (try the duke chicken sandwich - nom)

Fun atmosphere. Generally there is a line wrapped around the corner, but we arrived at the right time. The staff sing songs from popular musicals. The pulled pork sandwich was delicious!

This is about an experience more than the food. Don’t let a long line intimidate you because it will move quicker than you think. It’s busy and noisy and FUN inside! NYC must do ❤️
Entertaining dinner, very loud, the waiters are actors/ singer, between orders they sing famous songs. They serve tasty American food if you fancy a burger with chips, the service is ok.
The waitstaff's performingshow tunes is worth the wait and the food is just ok. But you should come for the entertainment. I will come back every time after or before I see a show on broadway
Ok, it's touristy, the food is average, but it's fun! The staff are having so much fun, singing almost non stop. It's like walking into an episode of Glee. If that's your thing, you'll love it
Very touristy spot. The singers are incredible! They are very talented and know how to put on a show while waiting tables :) but be ready to wait in line at the door.
The wait staff sing songs while you eat. The prices are not to expensive but it's Manhattan. My family didn't mind the prices and the singing was very good. I'll go again for sure.
Definitely a must in NYC if you appreciate good singers and fun entertainment. Food is good diner food! Ill definitely come back! Maybe even again tonight!
very fun place! the servers all sing and they are GOOD! they also take requests! note that it is really overpriced diner food, its the location and atmosphere you pay for.
If you can manage it, endeavor to sit on the first floor of this place. The sound of the singing wait staff tends to get washed out on the second floor.
Always entertaining. Hats off for being so entertains while still keeping up with the there customers at the same time. I saw a waiterdeliver drinks to a table while still singing!
The feta cheese omelette is a great choice. Other diners in the city offer better breakfast food, but the singing staff makes Ellen's worth going to once.
Dishes like the Dean Martin (spaghetti and meatballs) and the Jerry Lee Lewis (a buffalo fried chicken and blue cheesewrap) highlight the diner's throwback vibe. Read more

FUN! Great family friendly entertainment. Mediocre food, but I can overlook that when my 9 year old could barely stop grinning or singing along to the songs. Will definitely return next time in NYC!
Come here for the entertainment, not the food. Very touristy but worth the visit. The food is forgettable, the singing waiting staff is not. Had the Walter Cronkite waygu beef burger and carrot cake.
chocolate shakes are the best-not too milky or too sweet, make it a mudslide & it's on. salmon is always cooked perfectly. get brownies to go (heaven!). have fun w/live ent by the singing waitstaff!
It’s a fun little tourist trap in the middle of Times Square. Don’t be alarmed when your waiter/waitress starts breaking out in show tunes. It’s all part of the shtick.
The food was alright but the vibe was amazing. P.S. If you tweet them you can see your tweet on the TVs in the diner. Now there's a picture of me with a Shrek backpack that will appear there for a bit
