Cash only and drinks served only after 12 so time your reservation accordingly. Can get really crowded by bar/waiting area.

If you linger long enough at brunch they'll supply you with drink tickets for the bar as a bribe to leave.

I came to USA to visit my friend and we went to this restaurant and it sucks. So noisy and overcrowded, food 6/10, brunch drinks are the cheapest cocktails you can imagine. We've better stayed home :(

The Wednesday lobster deal is one of the best in town. The hostess should learn to grin and bear it.

Eating at Essex Restaurant is akin to eating a meal on an plane - your food will arrive roughly an hour into your excursion and taste like it was reheated in a microwave somewhere over Ohio.

The space that Essex Restaurant has occupied for the last decade was once used as part of Essex Market. Now, it just overlooks Essex Market. In case you find evening grocery shoppers entertaining.

Go on Mon or Thurs for $1 oysters (pick a local variety!) & half-priced drinks 'til 9. I like the watermelon or white grape martinis (made w/fresh juice).

My friend and I had to actively ask for the third mimosa. Did not have my first one during the meal. When my server finally brought the third one, he said he was "trusting us." Not happy.

Not my favorite brunch. The space is dated and they really stuck to 3 drinks w/your entree and had you pay for any drinks over that.

You're supposed to get 3 mimosas or bloody marys with your entree, but it's basically all-you-can-drink and they do not mess around w/ the pours. Beware.
