Christy Z. • October 2, 2010The keyword here is fried. Forget everything you know about light Japanese food and feast on the tempura, croquettes, and karaage. Great comfort food for winter time.
Aaron R. • January 19, 2011Takoyaki and Ikageso are the best of any Izakaya in the city. Butterfish Aburi is amazing. Don't just come here for the sushi. They have an excellent variety of traditional Japanese tapas.
Wasim H. • October 8, 2012Great noodle-based items (Udon, Jampong, JJajang Myun are all good). Very mediocre sushi. If you want sushi, go to Asahi around the corner
Robert N. • July 24, 2012Good sushi and great prices. A tempura roll cost less than the Happy Meal we got for my daughter about a block away.
Timothy C. • November 21, 2014With Guu dominating the izakaya scene for so many years, I finally gave Kintaro a try. I'm glad I did. Definitely more of a yakitori bar as its name suggests. Incredibly tasty. Try the beef ribs.
Alena T. • September 1, 2013Nice atmosphere, friendly and positive stuff despite late hour, and the most important for sushi place - excellent sushi. Definitely will come back to try all-you-can-eat!
Beedahsiga E. • May 1, 2013Great start to a night out! Learned the correct way to pour, serve and drink Sake
DJ . • July 24, 2023Tried the cold udon and curry Katsu udon, both were good but nothing mind blowing.
Armin I. • May 12, 2022Great spice level. Hot but still very tasty. Also the staff is really friendly.
Gabriel S. • August 8Matcha & hojicha twist was rich & creamy. It was the best & most tea-ish Japanese tea ice cream I've ever had, even including Japan. Both flavours were excellent, though matcha was a bit heavier.
