Offbeat L.A. • May 25, 2020The building & sign were constructed about 1959 as the Chevron Motor Inn. In 1987 the motel became the High Hat Regency and the new owner had the old sign adapted to this incredible neon & bulb one.
Offbeat L.A. • May 25, 2020By the 2000s it had decayed into a dangerous place, but in 2007 new owners with good intentions starting making improvements to bring it back to life, investing money & attempting to clean it up
